Tucked away on the Cumbria–Northumberland border and right beside the iconic Hadrian's Wall, North View Annexe is a beautifully positioned detached hideaway for two guests. With its own private parking it's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside and historic landscape.
Inside the annex is thoughtfully arranged for a relaxing stay. The bedroom features a king-size bed, which can be split into two singles on request, making it equally suited to couples or friends traveling together. The open-plan living space includes a comfortable lounge and dining area with a sofa, TV and WiFi.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed for self-catering, including a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. A modern bathroom completes the space with a shower.
Set in the welcoming village of Gilsland, you'll find plenty within a five-minute walk, including a local café known for handmade cakes and sandwiches, a handy spot for everyday essentials, and two nearby pubs, one of which serves food.
For walkers and history lovers, you can stroll down in minutes to the Hadrian's Wall milecastle ruins, with views out towards a waterfall. Venture a little further and you'll find more restaurants, cafés, pubs and shops, along with an impressive choice of local attractions including Roman forts and castles along the Wall.
