Once the principal farm in the village, this period property retains many original features including low ceilings, exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces. Bright and spacious rooms are found across both floors and there are enviable views on the first floor. There is plenty of room in the traditionally-furnished sitting room which has 2 large sofas, 2 armchairs and chaise longue with views and access on to the garden, for everyone to spread themselves out unhindered, while the kitchen and the imposing dining room are fantastic social spaces for creating and enjoying delicious meals throughout the day. A shower room is tucked away on the ground floor and a family bathroom is located upstairs, along with an en-suite king bedroom, a king size bedroom with a day bed and sea views, a twin bedroom and a bunk that is bedroom perfect for youngsters. the sitting room also opens out on to the beautiful south-facing garden. The cosy, sheltered vine covered veranda area with table and chairs, provides a perfect spot for outside dining and the sunken garden is the perfect spot catching some ray with an aperitif.
Along with family- and dog-friendly shops and pubs, Walberswick offers a wonderful blend of coastal beauty and rural charm, its beach surrounded by marshes, dunes and characterful huts. Stray over the River Blyth towards Southwold (1 mile), a beautiful town renowned for its vibrant high street, sand and shingle beach and Victorian pier. Cyclists and ardent walkers will be rewarded if they head to the pretty village of Dunwich (6 miles).
