About this property
4 Bed in East Harling (oc-m31907)
This characterful traditional farmhouse is in quaint village of East Harling, surrounded by Norfolk countryside. Enjoy woodland walks through Thetford Forest directly from the property, or spend the day at nearby family attractions such as Banham Zoo or Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens (both within 10 miles). The vibrant city of Norwich is 24 miles away.
The Grade II-listed farmhouse is full of rustic charm, with its red brick exterior, exposed beams, and country cottage decor. At the heart of the home is the farmhouse kitchen/diner, boasting flagstone flooring, plenty of worktop space, a dining table and, just off the kitchen, a handy utility room. The separate dining room has a formal, banquet-style dining table and a cosy wood burner-effect electric fire. From the dining room, glass doors lead to a fabulous lounge with seating nestled around a Smart TV, a perfect spot for a movie night. Alternatively, grab your holiday read and head to the garden room to curl up on the sofa and unwind after a busy day. This room has a sofa bed to accommodate a further two guests if required. An elegant bathroom with a free-standing bath, walk in shower and WC completes the ground floor. Upstairs, four tastefully decorated bedrooms await, two of which have en-suite facilities. Outside, soak up the serenity in the attractive, walled garden. Make the most of the wonderful bar area, patio, lawn and hot tub, plus there’s private parking for five cars.
East Harling boasts pubs, a tearoom, and a handful of shops. The village is the perfect base for outdoor enthusiasts, with access to the network of walking and cycling trails through Thetford Forest Park. The picturesque market town of Diss, with its beautiful, timber-framed houses, is 11 miles and has a great range of independent shops and eateries. Bury St Edmunds (20 miles) also makes a lovely day out.
