About this property
3 Bed in Whitby (oc-r565)
Set on the first and second floors of a sea captain’s house in the upper part of popular Robin Hood’s Bay, this comfortable apartment boasts books and plenty of space in which to reconnect and play games as a family or just relax. It’s ideal as a seaside getaway for couples and families, with a furry friend allowed, too.
Built at the end of the 19th century, this large apartment has some beautiful ornamental fireplaces, and views of the sea from its lounge and double bedroom. After parking at the front, enter through the shared hall with its original tiled floor and head up the stairs to the first floor. Here you’ll find a welcoming lounge with leather sofas gathered around a coal-effect gas fire. There’s a TV and DVD here if you fancy a quiet evening in. In the dining room you can play some LPs while you eat, and afterwards choose a board game from the shelves. The bright and pretty kitchen - with everything you’ll need to prepare delicious holiday meals - is also on this floor, as well as a bathroom and a shower room. On the half-landing there’s a separate WC. All three bedrooms are on the second floor: a double, a twin and a room with two full-size bunk beds (though perhaps best suited to children).
Located on a beautiful stretch of Yorkshire coastline and on the edge of the North York Moors, Robin Hood’s Bay has something for everyone. The dog-friendly beach is great for rock pooling and fossil hunting, and afterwards you can explore the village’s steeply sloping, cobbled streets, which wind around to reveal enticing shops and a range of lovely places to eat and drink. Walk the coast path and enjoy gorgeous views, or head inland to see the famous Falling Foss waterfall, 6 miles.
