Have a fairy-tale stay at this chocolate-box thatched cottage in the Suffolk village of Walberswick with sea views. Sleeping eight guests, plus their beloved pet, the three-bedroom retreat nestles in a gorgeous 1-acre garden, overflowing with wildflowers and fruit trees. It is just over 0.5 miles from the beach, an 8-mile drive from Southwold and in an idyllic location for anyone who enjoys walking.
Step inside the Suffolk pink hideaway and head through to the kitchen/diner to unpack the tasty local provisions you bought on your trip out. This generous space, which has underfloor heating and beams, provides ample room to prepare your delicacies, dine at the table and relax on soft seating while the coffee percolator bubbles. There is also a utility room and a WC close by. After each meal, stroll through to lounge to throw open the French doors on to the beautiful garden on summer days or light the open fire on winter nights as you settle down in front of the Smart TV together. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor. These include two doubles, one with an en-suite shower room, a family room, 1 king size bed and twin beds and a family bathroom, with lovely freestanding bath. Spill out into the magnificent garden to dine out in the sunshine and play hide and seek with the children between the trees. There is parking here for three cars.
Prepare a picnic and strike out on any number of walks through the attractive Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Enjoy as circular 7-mile hike along the Suffolk Coast Path to Dunwich, where there is a picturesque beach and heath, and back. Walk just under 1 mile down to the rowing boat ferry and cross over to Southwold Harbour. From here it is a 1-mile walk up to the vibrant town.
