About this property

1 Bed in Hay-on-Wye (oc-c33388)

Discover this impressive canvas lodge, a wonderful setting for couples seeking a blend of relaxation and adventure amidst stunning natural surroundings. A couple of hundred metres across the River Wye, you’ll find yourself in Hay-on-Wye, the enchanting ‘town of books’. Lose yourselves wandering its quirky independent bookshops, enjoy a leisurely coffee and cake in a tempting cafe, or share a romantic meal at one of the town’s welcoming pubs or restaurants. For those who love the outdoors, the treetop tent is well located in the north-east corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Spend the day canoeing or paddleboarding on the nearby rivers, explore the rolling countryside on horseback, or wander along scenic cycling and hiking trails, taking in breathtaking views at every turn.

The glamping site is environmentally friendly, entirely off-grid, and makes use of solar energy to minimise its impact on the environment. Step from the balcony into this enchanting riverside retreat, where an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area greets you with a light and airy atmosphere. Canvas walls, large windows, and a crackling wood burner create a space perfectly connected to the surrounding nature. Sink into the plush sofas after a day of discovery and let the gentle sounds of the river and wildlife wash over you. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering stay. When it’s time to unwind, the magical four-poster king-size bed invites you to a peaceful night’s sleep, while a wooden-clad shower room completes the interior.

Outside, the covered, enclosed balcony is a lovely spot for al fresco dining at the large table or simply soaking up the tranquil river views with a morning coffee or evening drink. The icing on the cake is the private wood fired sauna which awaits for a refreshing steam at the end of the day. With a glass end wall you can gaze across the river while enjoying the ultimate in heated relaxation. A cold shower outside ensures you can cool off and be ready for another session. Private parking for one car is provided, and a convenient luggage cart ensures easy transport of your belongings from the car to the property.
