About this property
6 Bed in Salthouse (oc-1823)
Located in the popular conservation village of Salthouse, this three-storey, detached family home is what coastal dreams are made of. Set moments from the coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it offers oodles of space for relaxing and entertaining with an open-plan living area, a separate snug and games room, and a large split-level garden with a patio area and a summerhouse. It’s the ideal bolthole for families and groups of friends looking to explore the North Norfolk coastline.
Light and spacious throughout with a classy New England interior style, this is a cool and contemporary property, designed with guests’ comfort in mind. Curl up on one of the comfortable sofas with a book in front of a roaring wood burner, or throw open the patio doors on a warm summer’s day and let your living space spill outside. The fitted kitchen is well equipped for preparing family mealtimes and celebrations, and the ten-seater dining table offers the ideal spot to gather together for food and chat. With six bedrooms spread over the first and second floors and four bathrooms in total, there’s ample room for everybody to have a good night’s sleep. Gaze over the rooftops to the church, marsh and sea from the bedrooms at the front of the property, or make the most of the fresh and salty sea air and relax in the sun in the tranquil garden.
Walkers are spoilt for choice, with a stretch of the Peddars Way practically from your doorstep, a 10-mile Salthouse Sculpture Trail, and Salthouse Heath and Salthouse Marshes nearby. There’s a local pub and popular crab shop in town and the area is a dream for birdwatchers and nature lovers with Cley-next-the-Sea bird reserve (2 miles) and seal watching at Blakeney Point (7 miles). For a selection of independent shops, cafes, galleries and antiques shops, the pretty Georgian town of Holt is just 4 miles inland.
