Lying on the edge of the picturesque village of Langthwaite, this traditional stone-built cottage offers wonderful views from every window of the wild, rugged and beautiful landscapes of Arkengarthdale. A fabulous base for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, the property offers cosy accommodation for up to seven guests exploring a stunning corner of the magnificent North Yorkshire countryside. Perfect for families and friends, this characterful getaway enjoys a secluded location and has a range of original features including timber beams, a welcoming wood burner, exposed stonework and a stylish free-standing roll-top bath.
This beautiful property features a spacious, traditionally-styled lounge/diner providing an ideal space for everyone to get together in the evenings to chat about the day. The lounge has a Smart TV, ample seating and a wood burner set in the inglenook fireplace. To the rear of the room the handsome dining table is perfect for marking special occasions and sharing tasty meals which you can prepare in the country-style kitchen. The ground floor also has a useful workspace and a cosy garden room. Heading upstairs, you will find a beautifully decorated vaulted bathroom. The four fresh and cosy bedrooms are also upstairs: a charming single with a useful desk, a cheerful twin, a relaxing king-size room and a lovely en-suite double. Outside, a few steps lead up onto the raised flagstone patio, a perfect spot for a morning coffee as you take in the surrounding countryside.
Langthwaite is famous as the location for TV’s All Creatures Great and Small, and makes a fabulous base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales by foot or bike. The historic towns of Richmond (14 miles to the east) and Hawes (17 miles to the west) have some great pubs and restaurants to relax in after an exhilarating day exploring the area’s breathtaking landscapes.
