About this property

3 Bed in Two Waters Foot (oc-p29856)

Make memories with loved ones in this gorgeous Cornish retreat near Bodmin. Sleeping six guests, it’s the perfect base for families and groups of friends to relax and embrace nature. The cottage is next to the River Fowey, offering wild swimming and fishing opportunities, and you’ll also find some beautiful walks through the surrounding woodlands. Nearby family attractions include the Eden Project, Camel Creek Adventure Park, and Bodmin Jail (all within 25 miles).

The detached holiday home is decorated in an elegant, country-cottage style, with muted tones, exposed woodwork, and homely touches throughout. The main living space is a bright, open-plan lounge/diner with a vaulted ceiling and relaxing views of the garden. Spend time here, sharing family mealtimes at the farmhouse-style dining table before sinking into the plump sofas for a movie night around the TV/DVD. The separate kitchen has all the equipment and worktop space needed to cater for a large group. Completing the ground floor is an attractive double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The remaining bedrooms and contemporary family bathroom are upstairs. Guests also have access to an impressive, shared games/party room for entertaining. Outside, the enclosed garden has furniture for al fresco dining and a large lawn where children and dogs can play. Private parking is available for two cars.

The picturesque harbour town of Fowey (14 miles) makes a lovely day out. Potter around the cute boutiques and galleries, before dining in one of the many independent pubs or restaurants. You can join boat trips from the harbour and there are some truly spectacular coastal paths branching away from the town. For a day at the beach, head north to explore the idyllic ‘seven bays’ around St Merryn (28 miles) or journey south to the family favourite of Looe (13 miles) or the secluded Lantic Bay (14 miles).
