About this property

3 Bed in Burton Bradstock (oc-c30570)

A rural idyll for anyone seeking to be close to the Jurassic Coast, this enticing stone cottage is perfect for a Dorset getaway. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom holiday home is ideal for a family or group of friends eager to bring a canine companion. Set on the coastal fringes of the Dorset National Landscape, the property offers a comfortable base for both countryside and seaside adventures together. Plan days of fossil hunting and sandcastles at nearby beaches that include Hive Beach and Cogden Beach (both within 3 miles), or further afield visit Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove (both within 28 miles). Enjoy bracing walks along the scenic South West Coast Path (2 miles) and stride on towards beautiful West Bay (3 miles). Nearby towns and villages with plenty of Dorset charm include Burton Bradstock, Bridport, Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Seatown and the famous Isle of Portland (all within 19 miles).

Before stepping into this delightful property, take a moment to appreciate your farmland surroundings of peaceful Dorset countryside, other charming farm buildings and the sights and sounds of livestock. Enter this rural retreat and leave your muddy walking boots or sandy shoes in the entrance before walking through to the light and airy lounge. Here, exposed stone combines with whitewashed walls and modern comforts, offering a sumptuous space to unwind after days of Dorset adventure. Flick on the Smart TV, fire up the wood burner, or swing open the bi-fold doors to the garden to let the country air flow through. The sofa in this room can convert to sleep an extra guest on request. When stomachs begin to rumble, walk through to the well-appointed kitchen/diner, which also offers garden access through bi-fold doors. Find all you need in the kitchen to cook up a feast for your loved ones, who can gather at the spacious table indoors to enjoy the chef’s work, or out on the patio for an al fresco meal to remember. At the end of each busy day away, choose from three restful bedrooms, the first of which is on the ground floor – a cosy twin room served by a ground-floor family shower room. Upstairs await two impressive king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, the other served by the family bathroom that completes the property’s interior.

The pretty, enclosed garden is very much a highlight of this cottage. Soak up the summer sunshine on the patio over al fresco dinner and drinks. Watch the children play with their four-legged friend on the grass or take them off to the shared open space. Beyond the property, the site also offers use of a shared games room as well as a private function room for special events (charges apply). Guests will find ample private parking for up to two cars.
