1st (Old) timers to Hayle

On our arrival at Cannery Row, we were slightly concerned as the property is located adjacent to an abandoned building site. (Some research indicated the company redeveloping the Hayle North Quay had gone bust - hence things have ground to a halt) Don`t let that put you off however - the property itself was absolutely lovely inside, where your only view is of the harbour and the rising and falling tide, which was just beautiful and tranquil. We have stayed in other lovely Luxury Coastal properties in Cornwall and this was just as good, if not better. All the local facilities you would need to call on are all within walking distance. It also proved a great location for heading out in the car to explore that part of Cornwall. Loved it - thank you Luxury Coastal! and yes - we would go again!.

This property had many great aspects: location, views, quality of beds, kitchen appliances, utensils (the latter at the top end of our experience), and bathrooms. The lack of any instructions re garbage, stove, washing machine, thermostat was a minor irritant. An extra blanket (it was March after all) would have been nice. Somehow from the listing, we did not understand that there were three levels. More importantly, the apartment was only superficially clean. The carpets and behind the couch tell a very different story. The vacuum cleaner did not function in any useful way. In particular, it seemed the canister had never been emptied, nor had the filter been cleaned/changed.
