Head to the quay (100 metres) and take a short ferry ride across the River Fowey to reach the vibrant town of Fowey, known for its charming streets lined with independent shops, galleries and a superb selection of places to eat. Polruan itself has a shop and a friendly pub 100 metres from your door.

On arrival, take a moment to admire the fresh, nautical-inspired interior, with white walls and marine hues echoing the nearby sea views. The light-filled living area is the heart of the home, with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a wooden dining table for meals and adventure planning. The dainty kitchen has everything you need for meal prep. Two beautifully decorated bedrooms – a king-size and a single, both with wooden bed frames – set you up for peaceful nights. Each has a picturesque sea view to wake up to each morning. A charming wet room with a mosaic-tiled floor completes the inside space. Be sure to make the most of the outdoor space during your stay, accessed via a large patio door from the dining area. This enclosed courtyard garden is a serene space with plants, a BBQ and seating for al fresco dining. While there’s no parking on-site, a pay-and-display car park is located 650 metres away.

In Fowey (0.5 miles, via the ferry), you can explore its narrow streets and perhaps hire a kayak to paddle the tranquil backwaters of the River Fowey. Or why not enjoy a beach day at Readymoney Cove, just 0.5 miles from Fowey Harbour? Beach lovers will also adore Polkerris, Par and Menabilly, all within 4 miles, with their sand, sea and water sports. For scenic walks, join the South West Coast Path (500 metres) and lap up the outstanding sea views as you head towards Polperro (6 miles). Don’t miss a visit to the awe-inspiring Eden Project (6 miles), for a fascinating day out exploring its iconic biomes.

- Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/slopes some of which can be steep, and may not be suitable for people with restricted mobility.

- There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village.

- There is a ring doorbell at the front door facing out into the road covering the top step of the property. No view into the property. Motion detection not generally set, just works as a doorbell
