About this property
Grade II Listed Cottage Gorran Haven Sea Views
Summary:
Situated in the heart of the quaint fishing town of Gorran Haven, Roseland Cottage is perfectly located for exploring South Cornwall. Quite literally a 30 second walk to the beach, harbour, pubs, shops and more, everything is at your convenience! The cottage features one king bedroom and one twin, both with ensuites, a good sized living space and well-equipped kitchen. With lovely sea views out into the harbour, it's hard not to relax at Roseland!
The Space:
Roseland Cottage is a grade II listed Cornish cottage located in the centre of the historic fishing town of Gorran Haven, South Cornwall. It is less than 30 seconds walk out the front door and onto the beach, where you can explore the little fishing harbour and rent SUPs and. kayaks. There are also several shops, a fish & chips takeaway, pubs and restaurants within a minutes walk, so everything is at your convenience.
The house is beautifully furnished, but has retained its classic Cornish charm. Take care with the low ceilings on the ground floor. It features a modern, well-equipped kitchen, dining area and spacious living room. The bedrooms are made up of one king room and one twin room (two singles), both with en-suite bathrooms.
You are also in a great place for exploring the rest of Cornwall's popular attractions. Just 30 minutes drive is the Eden Project. Called by some 'the 8th wonder of the world', these giant greenhouse biomes house rain forests and Mediterranean artificial environments complete with plants and animals!
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are also only 10 minutes away and a great day out. Walk round the walled gardens, traverse the lost valley and cross the rope bridge. There are also great forest trails for kids and den building activities. Just round the corner is Mevagissey, a larger traditional fishing village with lots of pubs, restaurants and gift shops. The entirety of the local coast line is covered by walking trails, so if you are feeling adventurous you can walk there from Gorran Haven! Following the coastal path in the opposite direction you will reach Vault beach in around half an hour. At nearly a mile long, this often deserted beach is one of Cornwall's best kept secrets. A full list of local activities can be found in our property guide after booking.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole house.
The Neighborhood:
Right in the centre of a traditional Cornish fishing village, there's nothing like it!
Getting Around:
Getting around is easy, all amenities are within walking distance with a large car park close by.
Other Things to Note:
Please note, there is no freezer at this property.
As this is a charming period cottage, some of the ceilings and doorways are a little lower in places — a lovely reminder of its original character and history. Guests over 6ft may wish to take this into consideration before booking.
