About this property

2 Bed in Caernarfon (oc-wag359)

You’re in the heart of the action in this terraced townhouse, which is set on a bustling pedestrian street within the town walls and just minutes away from Caernarfon’s magnificent castle, scenic marina and choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. It makes a fabulous getaway for couples or small families.

This 18th century stone-built property is furnished in a homely, simple style. In the comfortable lounge there’s a variety of seating around an ornamental fireplace and a Sky TV/DVD. The cheery kitchen/diner, meanwhile, simple in style but fully equipped for creating holiday meals, has a breakfast bar for two and a folding table, and a washing machine. Head upstairs to find the two bedrooms, both with characterful sloping, beamed ceilings: a double with a fitted wardrobe, and a second double which also has 2’ 6” bunk beds suitable for children. They share a sleek modern fitted bathroom with a shower over the bath. In terms of outside space, a small back yard is perfect for storing bikes.

Wander the quaint streets of Caernarfon at your leisure, or take a tour with an expert guide - perhaps including a visit to the Roman fort at Segontium, or along the coast, where there are beautiful views across to Anglesey. If you’re feeling energetic, the cycleway continues to the pretty seaside village of Felinheli- Port Dinorwic (5 miles). When you want to get out and about, catch the Welsh Highland Railway to Porthmadog, a busy harbour town with a range of shops and places to eat and drink, or hop on board a scenic boat cruise along the Menai Straits (operating daily in the summer months). From Llanberis, an 8-mile drive, you can walk or catch the train up Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon; and the beach at Dinas Dinlle is only 7 miles away.
