Coldwater Lake - Perfect for Large Gatherings

Hello and welcome home! Please read all of my reviews for an objective overview. I go above and beyond to accommodate all of my guests and large parties. From bank conferences, bachelor and bachelorette parties, family reunions, several families for one amazing vacation, two weddings, and many birthday parties from the beautiful lady who turned 90, I also just had a wonderful booking with a large 80th birthday party. And a fun 67th birthday party too. Beautiful home with Coldwater Lake access built in 2007. Two stories, 5 bedrooms, two bathrooms. Nine Beds, soon to add a queen sleeper sofa.
Currently can sleep 16 in beds. Seven flat screen TVs, WiFi above 500 Mbps. Both bathrooms are handicap accessible. ADA compliant shower and toilet bars, shower chair if needed, and walker if needed. All doors have a minimum width of 36 inches as well. The first floor is all hardwood floors and tile. Second floor amazingly comfortable carpet and hardwood floors. The house is directly beside Camp Buckeye. There are campers, RV's, and trailers in the neighborhood. The home is located on a channel that is a 5 minute boat ride to Coldwater Lake. Very close to the Sandbar and Roy’s Gas Station if you are familiar with the area. I have been a host for years, and I love it !!

We are not allowed Firworks here due to our location to the water and all of the boat covers and boat lift covers.

Great place for a group from out of town

The house and location, so close to the sandbar, worked out perfect for our long weekend getaway! Everything was as is and the place is stocked with anything you could possibly need. Communication was one of the best we’ve had in our many years of using vrbo’s, so thank you, we had a wonderful time!

Our vacation at this property was “over the top” unbelievable. We were staying at this home to celebrate our sons wedding. Brian was so very helpful with all of our needs and was very accommodating. His efforts made this event so much more enjoyable. The house was beautiful and the location was perfect. We hope to make this an annual vacation spot.

Enjoyable week

Host Brian Weis went out of his way to take of us! He was easily accessible and very personable. The property had a good sized kitchen/ living room, outdoor eating, a relaxing front porch, a back patio with outdoor furniture, and the plenty of bedrooms for our group of 11. The location was close to golf, Coldwater Lake, and restaurants were no more than 15 minutes away.

Fantastic getaway

We just spent 4 days at this picturesque home and only wish we had the time to have stayed longer.It was the perfect place for our family get together. The home was pristine upon our arrival. The kitchen ,as well as the rest of the house, was well equipped. The host could not have been more attentive and gracious. Family Fun

We had a terrific weekend! We had a wonderful experience kayaking, boating and tubing. We collected shells and cool rocks from the sand bar. The house was perfect for our group and well- equipped and labeled (as a teacher, loved the organization). We haven’t ever stayed in the same house twice but this house ranks as a top site. Brian, the property owner, was terrific answering questions and giving us a lot of information ahead of time to be able to plan our stay. Thanks so much, Brian!!

We had a fantastic weekend at your house! From start to finish, Brian was extremely helpful and concerned that we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and even supplied with things that we weren't expecting....specifically, birthday wishes for our mom and getting pamphlets for things were were doing while there-that meant a lot, plus much more. Coldwater Lake

We had our family with us, four children with their spouses, 6 grandchildren and the house was perfect size for our stay. Brian is a great host, he communicates well and always let us know what was going on. The house has everything we needed for our stay including plenty of towels and beach towels. The house is on a channel that had easy access to the lake. Brian provided space to park our two jet skis and boat. We have the house booked for next year and are looking forward to coming back.

Great Family Reunion on Coldwater Lake

Literally just returned from this trip and it was so great I had to write a review immediately! First, Brian was AMAZING!! Super helpful, great communication, very accommodating. The house was very nice and suited our needs perfectly. The upstairs was a great place for the kids to have their own space with an open area with tv and sofas. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. Property was great! Situated right on a channel with easy access to boat slip. Nice and spacious front yard with mature trees for plenty of shade. It was a fun and relaxing time. Coldwater Lake is also very nice with crystal clear water and big enough for tubing/skiing for the big kids and adults or splashing in the shallow waters by the sandbar for the little ones. Thanks again, Brian for opening your family lakehouse to our family. Many great memories were made and we are already thinking about doing it again next year!!

What a find!

Wow! There are so many great things to say about this rental I dont know where to start! Brian is absolutely A-MAZING to work with. He is very responsive and so welcoming. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay. The house had everything we needed! The house was very clean and fit our group perfectly. Having additional fridges was perfect the the huge freezer allowed us to always have ice for our coolers on hand. I loved having coffee in the morning on the porch with the fire on, heading out to the sandbar during the day to soak up the rays, and ending the day with everyone sitting around the huge fire pit laughing and enjoying each others company! A bonus to the house was having a park and game room across the way which our kids loved. Cannot say enough about the property and the owner! One of our best rentals on VRBO! Thank you Brian! You are the best!!

Friend & Family get away

What a fantastic stay!!! We rented this property for our group to stay at while in the area to celebrate my grandmother’s 90th birthday. We were the party planners and the house was the perfect place to do all of our decoration and food prep. I was so happy with the spacious kitchen and appreciated the labels so things were easy to find. There was plenty of space to spread out and everything we needed for preparing the food. I had planned to purchase disposable serving trays, but Brian said we were welcome to utilize any of the multiple beautiful ones he had. We got so many compliments! There was also so much space for everyone to get around with the 2 large bathrooms (with separate water heaters) and mirrors in every bedroom. It was fantastic to be able to utilize some of the property amenities like the kayaks, corn hole boards, and fire pit with an abundance of wood. We definitely created some wonderful memories! Our first night we were able to have an awesome family dinner under the pergola outside prepared on one of the large grills. Beyond all of the awesome features of the home, I can’t rave enough about the cleanliness! The house was immaculate! I am extremely particular about a clean space and my cousin that was with us has worked at luxury resorts is as well and we were both extremely impressed with how spotless the house was. I found the pricing to be very reasonable for the size of our group. Brian gave us a great deal! He is a fabulous host, going above and beyond my expectations. Brian even surprised us with a sunset cruise on the lake. I am so pleased with every aspect of our stay and will be back soon!

Friends getaway

Just had an amazing getaway with my friends this weekend and this place was a big part of it. This place had everything we were looking for. It was big enough for all 16 people, the kitchen was awesome and had everything we needed, it was clean when we arrived and the property was perfect for hanging out around the house and in the front yard. One of the best amenities was being able to rent the properties boat for Saturday and even better having Brian captain it for us. Brian was happy to pick us up and drive us around the water and then hangout on the Sandbar with us when we wanted to stop. He was easily the best part renting this place, he was easy to work with, communicated with me every step of the way and while we were there he was willing to help with everything I needed. I will definitely be back whenever possibly and it might become and annual trip for my group.

This Place is a Dream!

This home & host are incredible and offer a spacious, peaceful retreat. This place is perfect for hosting family or group gatherings with multiple bedrooms/sleeping locations, several indoor/outdoor eating areas that accomdate at least 10-15 people at each, two cooking/kitchen areas, several indoor/outdoor gathering/living room areas and a wonderful front porch with many rockers. All of this enables larger families/groups to relax and spend time together with a spacious feel. The house is comfortable, beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything to make you feel right at home - from a very well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and blankets, household items, laundry area, and yard/outside games & activities. The house and yard were immaculate when we arrived and the large bouquet of fresh flowers in the kitchen was a wonderful, personal touch. Brian is the best VRBO host we have ever had - he is very responsive and went above and beyond to meet the needs of our group and customize the experience to what we needed. For example, he made sure to have a variety of tea options available when he learned we have a lot of tea-drinkers in our group and he made sure to pick up the throw rugs and have a shower chair available for our elderly family members. I highly recommend this property & host!

YES YES A MILLION TIMES YES!

Every year my friends and I rent a property to celebrate NYE. This cute front porched home fit 16 of us so comfortably! It is super super clean and has absolutely everything you could possibly need. Usually we end up getting to the property and the kitchen utensils and cooking materials are so scarce but this one has literally everything you can think of! Brian the owner was extremely helpful and went above and beyond for us. I honestly don’t have even one complaint. Every year there’s always something but our NYE spent in Brian’s home was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted. I could go on and on about how great the experience was but all I’m going to say is RENT IT. YOU WONT REGRET IT.

Perfect group setting!

We have stayed at countless vacation homes throughout the country and in Europe. Brian is BY FAR the best host we have ever had. He thought of anything and everything we could’ve ever asked for before we even asked for it. The home is beautiful and very clean. It is spacious and well decorated. We had a large family gathering here, and there was not one complaint. The beds are all comfortable, but if you get first choice, run upstairs to the bedroom with the queen and the twin bed and snag the queen sized bed with memory foam topper before anyone else gets to it. 😉 What the neighborhood lacks in appeal (as stated in the listing, it is at the very beginning of a campground), Brian MORE than makes up for with his amazing hosting skills. You will not be sorry if you stay here. Thank you for letting us stay, and we hope to return!

Our family members had a blast! There was plenty of room and the house was very beautiful and most importantly it was very clean!! There was more than enough ( Brain home owner ) provided almost everything you can think of. There was plenty of clean towels, everything that has to do with kitchen there was everything I can go on and on with a list..... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!! OUTSTANDING COMMUNICATION!! Brian the home owner met us upon arrival. Very refreshing compared to previous rentals where the home owner lived in another state. House was very clean inside and out. Ample supply of things you would need on a long weekend. We had 10 adult men spend 4 night's there for a golf weekend, we never needed for anything and never felt confined. Kitchen is updated and well organized. Can't say enough on how well Brian took care of us. Highly recommended
