About this property

3 Bed in Uphill (oc-n27747)

Experience a stay in an authentic Cornish cottage with an amazing garden, delightful interiors and lush surrounding countryside. You’ll never forget memories made with family throughout your stay here, whether that’s collecting fresh eggs on-site, taking a boat trip on the pond on sunny days or enjoying a singsong around the piano whilst the wood burner flickers in the lounge. Perfectly appointed for families with large, versatile bedrooms, this property is ready to accommodate six guests. You can even bring along two dogs, ideal for those eagerly planning epic dog walks on the Bodmin Moor or Cornwall’s pristine sandy beaches.

Once you’ve passed through the garden with a pond, stream, grassy verges and plenty of seating options, let yourselves in and feel instantly at home. With an authentic Aga and a sociable dining table, the farmhouse-style kitchen is a sociable centre of the household. On the ground floor, you’ll also find a handy utility room with space to store outdoor gear and the ever-inviting lounge with plenty of seating, gentle soft furnishings and that all-important wood burner for winter months. As each day draws to a close, head-on upstairs to find three marvellous bedrooms. Each one is utterly spacious and served by a capacious family bathroom with a sumptuous roll-top bath for sinking into after long days filled with walking and other activities.

With Bodmin Moor at one side (3 miles) and the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the other (6.5 miles), you’re well positioned for setting off on any number of country walks nearby. Explore the sweeping Colliford Lake (12.5 miles) or take a long trek along the River Tamar (7 miles). Owing to its mid-Cornwall location, you’re in a great position to easily reach the county’s north and south coasts, with beautiful Boscastle (21.5 miles) and captivating Looe (17 miles) each just a drive away.
