The front fountain, staircase and manicured lawn point to the building’s historical significance, but inside visitors are treated to contemporary interior design, new appliances and arty touches. A private courtyard provides airflow and a place to relax, while features like an internal laundry and wall-mounted TV add comfort and convenience.

The space
This ground floor studio has a lot going for it. For starters, lots of light and air through multiple windows and a door onto a private courtyard with outdoor furniture. And unlike many other studio apartments, it has a separate living area – no need to watch TV in bed. The kitchen is full-size and fully equipped, and there’s even an internal laundry. There are three steps from street level to the apartment.

Local area description
Located in Sydney’s trendy Inner West, Lewisham is a relaxed residential suburb characterised by Victorian and Edwardian mansions, post-war apartments and quiet streets. Young families and older residents are attracted by its access to the Light Rail and Sydney Trains, as well as its convenient location near the city and the airport. It’s also close to some great dining and entertainment areas, including New Canterbury Road, Norton St and Marrickville Road.
House rules
You are staying in a friendly and peaceful neighbourhood and we kindly ask you to respect the community and your surrounding neighbours. The following strict House Rules apply:
- No loud noise between 10 pm and 8 am
- No parties or antisocial behaviour
- No additional people are to access the property without our prior approval
- No pets are allowed in the property without approval
- No smoking is allowed at any times
- If you break something, please let us know
- To help protect all floor coverings do not wear any shoes inside the property

Please be aware that excessive noise such as amplified music, vocals or screaming or anti-social behaviour in the property or common areas can cause neighbours to complain to us, the Building Manager, Council Rangers or Police.

IMPORTANT: Any breach of the House Rules may lead to a $500 fine plus compensation for any cost/damage created and immediate eviction of the property.

Finally, when checking out, we kindly ask you for the following:
- Please leave all beds unmade
- Please clean up your dishes and put them away
- In case you have rearranged furniture, please put it back to the original location
- Please take out the rubbish and remember to use the right bins
- Please ensure all appliances, A/C and lights are off and doors and windows are closed

Lewisham Station is 10 minutes walk away. Trains to the city leave four times an hour and take 15 minutes. The light rail is even closer, providing access to the Inner West and Darling Harbour.

Ride sharing
Ride sharing apps are a safe and easy way to get around, especially later at night when public transport services are less frequent. Prices are about two-thirds that of taking a taxi, but may surge during bad weather or public events.
