Our detached house is within a pretty village within Exmoor National Park in the gentle, sunny climate of the West Country. We have fantastic views, surrounding large garden, south facing patio & firepit. We're within Exmoor National Park's dark sky reserve, sit on the patio at night and enjoy the amazing night sky!
Our house is spacious with a large well equipped kitchen with tables seating 9, 4 good sized double bedrooms one with a folding single bed, lots of extra chairs and bedding, everything you need to have a fantastic stay. We also have a well equipped utility room, a downstairs loo, a family bathroom with bath, loo, sink & shower and an ensuite shower room as part of Bedroom 1.
All our rooms have fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and Dunkery Beacon. Outside, our patio is large, looking over our garden and our wonderful views, it's through patio doors from the kitchen. We have lots of chairs, 3 sun loungers, BBQ & firepit, it's south facing so you may need to use our Sun umbrella too!
On the other side of the house we have parking for about 8 cars and 3 kayaks to use if you wish though you need your own transport for them & any safety equipment. This is our family house which works well for a "Home from Home" stay for guests.
We welcome all ages & groups and may be able to be flexible on dates and numbers so do contact me with any special requests, there will be home made scones & a bottle of fizzy waiting for you! We are dog friendly, there are numerous dog walks available from our doorstep. We have a cat who lives mainly outdoors but if you'd rather she wasn't here she can go on her own holiday just let me know!
West Somerset has a stunning coastline with amazing coves and beaches & lots of places to experience for all ages including the historic West Somerset steam railway; Dunster village with its stunning castle; Watchet the home of the Ancient Mariner; Tropiquaria with pirateshipsto play on and lots of rescued animals; Exmoor Zoo; many cider farms to visit and multiple other things to do within easy reach.
