Super central, decent size room. Predictably pretty warm during the heatwave.

Shower water starts cold then becomes scalding hot with no way to adjust the temp. Host did not answer any messages. No cloth or paper towels for the kitchen. WiFi is extremely poor. Door access codes are 9 digits each and they lock automatically. Would never ever stay here again.

Although the host said he would contact us to see how check in went he was incommunicado for our entire stay. The bed can be made into two twins, but no blanket or top sheet could be found. Description does not mention that the room is on the 4th floor with no visible way to access the lift and no response from the “host”. Bedding was piled in front of the elevator/lift when we arrived and still there three days later. No information about what type of pods to purchase for the coffee maker. No response. We never figure out how to regulate the shower temp. It’s either cold or scalding. No response from host. However, the location was absolutely awesome! Two blocks from Trafalgar Square. Between Charing Cross and Waterloo stations. Pubs and coffee shops and a Coop Express near by. Even at 78 years old, knowing what I know about the walk-up and host, I would seriously consider booking again. BUT it could be so much better with a couple of tweaks.

The room was not cleaned upon arrival and bathroom was not cleaned, with no spare towels or bedsheets for me to change them myself. Host promised to call me to see if the check in process was okay, which he didn’t do and ended up ignoring all messages and calls. I had to call support who also couldn’t reach him, leaving me with no option but to sleep on the floor and was forced to buy a towel from a shop. The room was cleaned for the second and final night after phoning support again who managed to get through to him. I received no apology from the host and no partial refund for the first night, which I is unacceptable. Would not recommend!!

Would not recommend.- Shower temperature inoperative - water comes out scalding with no way to change it (host blatantly ignored request to repair)- "king" bed is 2 twins pushed together, with one very small blanket meant for 2 adults- towel warmer inoperative (handle missing)- wifi barely worksThe worst part of the stay was in checking out - Checkout was set at 11am, we packed up and left at 10am to get breakfast, leaving our luggage inside. When we returned at 10:40a, the door code had been deactivated early. It took us TWO HOURS of messages to an unresponsive host, and on hold with VRBO customer service (who also tried calling and emailing the host several times). Finally, the person who cleans the unit happened to be upstairs and overheard our situation (we were sitting in the hallway), and came down to let us in to get our bags. There was zero apology or even acknowledgement of error from the host. They were largely unresponsive and clearly do not care about your experience. If you're still reading, I will say on the plus side, this was a great central location to lots of things to do, albeit very loud as it is a very old building with poor insulation. FYI: 3rd floor flat with no lift and narrow stairs. We will not be staying here on our return trip.

A revised description...Step into an ascetic aesthetic at this contemporary, inadequately equipped apartment set just moments from Trafalgar Square. Recently renovated and sparely furnished, the apartment is a private, secure space, okay for couples or solo travelers. It accommodates up to two guests and features a lumpy king bed, actually two singles, minimal, mis-sized linens, too few threadbare towels, and several complimentary, hard-to-replace coffee pods, and no toiletries are provided to help you settle in from the moment you arrive. The flat includes a modern private bathroom and a barely equipped kitchen with a few of the things you need to prepare meals at your convenience, though no basics and nothing you might require to clean up, along with an esoteric coffee machine and a tiny mini fridge on the floor, and no table for dining or second chair. A lampless desk, zero storage, and a TV make it equally poorly suited for both leisure and business stays. Located on the third floor and accessed by stairs, the digital self check-in code does not always work, while complete privacy allows you to relax and unwind at your own pace, secure in the knowledge that the owner and management companies will remain utterly unavailable for the duration of your stay.
