Escape to Rokeby Cottage, a beautifully converted two-bedroom barn set amid rolling County Durham countryside. This rural retreat offers rustic charm with contemporary comfort, offering panoramic views, and access to exclusive facilities, including a hot tub, sauna, and tennis court (bookable separately).

Please note that the swimming pool is currently fully booked until mid March and therefore is not available during this time.

Inside, exposed beams and natural textures blend seamlessly with modern design. The spacious open-plan living area features a statement electric fireplace, plush seating (including two double sofa beds), and a 65-inch Smart TV (please provide your own logins).

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to dine in style, complete with coffee machine, quality appliances, and a large dining table perfect for family meals or celebratory evenings.

The two bedrooms offer total relaxation:

Bedroom 1: Super king bed, ensuite, and 32-inch Smart TV

Bedroom 2: King bed, ensuite, and 32-inch Smart TV

Both bathrooms are beautifully finished, with one featuring a walk-in shower and the other a full bathtub, complemented by underfloor heating throughout.

We provide baby essentials; travel cot, high chair and cutlery. As well as children's' toys, games and books.

Step outside and take in countryside views. Enjoy morning coffee on the terrace, unwind in the private hot tub, or book a slot at the indoor pool and sauna for the ultimate relaxation.

For families, a cot bed with mattress and high chair are provided. Along with reading materials, games and children's toys. There’s also free parking directly on the property.

Situated just outside Barnard Castle, this location offers easy access to The Bowes Museum, Raby Castle, Egglestone Abbey, and scenic Teesdale walks. The charming market town is just a few minutes’ drive away, home to independent shops, cosy pubs, and restaurants.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
