What a lovely staycation!

Beautiful old cottage, renovated, yet keeping some of the old features. Well equipped and very comfortable. Friendly neighbour! Parking was hit and miss. First flight of stairs steep and no downstairs loo.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location
Street parking only was a problem because we as tourists would be gone all day and return late to find locals would come home from work and take up all close parking spots. Some days we had to park several blocks away from cottage. No A/C made sleeping somewhat uncomfortable especially seeing the weather was above normal hot. Street side bedroom was very noisy. But, unit was clean, well stocked with things you would expect at home, especially coffee machine. All Beds were very comfortable. Would stay there again!

Wonderful weekend at Lavendar Cottage

Lavender Cottage is the perfect home away from home. We had a wonderful weekend there, with trips into Bradford upon Avon a nice 15 minute walk away and into Bath using the very convenient train station in Bradford upon Avon. The house was comfortable, beautifully decorated and so well appointed the kitchen had everything we needed from cooking breakfast feasts to cheese and nibbles, they even had champagne flutes! Only wish we had stayed for longer!

Much Smaller than expected and not enough furniture for 6 people as advertised.

As a family of 5 adults & 1 baby, it was too small for us. It is advertised as sleeping 6, but unless you are extremely tiny people sleeping in the 2 smallest bedrooms, you will struggle. The king size bedroom is fine, however the shower/ ensuite bathroom is tiny. The second bedroom has a small double bed which you would struggle to be comfortable in for 2 regular sized adults. The 3rd bedroom in the roof is a futon bed: very low and uncomfortable with a pole in the middle. The lounge is very small and only has enough comfortable seating for 4 people- this has to be changed as you can’t sell a holiday home without enough seating. This was also the same for the seating in the garden - 1 small table with 4 chairs! Parking is on the road and we struggled to find a space twice. Long walk into the town and very steep walk back up. The bins were full and were not emptied, despite the owner/ contact advising they would be. House is fine for 4 people max but is very expensive for what it is and we would not stay again unfortunately.
