About this property
The Vintage Escape
Summary:
Hosted by Sleepover Stays – London’s Super Hosts.
Step into a 100-year-old London terrace that feels like a piece of history. Original wooden floors, classic chimneys, and big bright windows welcome you. The living room’s vintage suitcase? Who knows what stories it carried. Funky art, London vibes, and old-world charm make this a true local gem. Come live like a local in this timeless, authentic, and a little mysterious home.
The Space:
As you enter, a banister staircase leads you up to the flat. At the front, a bright, spacious living and dining area features large windows and a sofa bed. Down the hall, the master bedroom has a comfortable double bed with an extra soft mattress. The bathroom includes both a shower and bathtub. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. At the rear, the second bedroom is peaceful and quiet, with another comfy double bed.
Guest Access:
Guests will have exclusive use of the entire home during their stay.
Self check-in is available, allowing you to arrive at your convenience after the designated check-in time.
The Neighborhood:
Carlingford Road is a peaceful residential street in North London, offering a more local, community-driven experience while remaining very well connected.
You’re close to a great mix of independent cafés, bakeries, pubs, and international restaurants, particularly along Green Lanes, one of London’s most vibrant food streets. Nearby green spaces provide a welcome escape, and the area feels creative, lived-in, and authentic rather than tourist-focused.
Getting Around:
The home is well connected to the rest of London:
Turnpike Lane Underground Station (Piccadilly Line) is the closest station, offering direct access to King’s Cross, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and Heathrow Airport. You can be door to door with Soho and Covent Garden in less than 30 minutes.
Several bus routes operate nearby, providing easy links to Finsbury Park, Islington, and surrounding neighbourhoods.
Getting around the city from here is straightforward and convenient, whether you’re commuting or exploring.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that this is the owner’s personal home, not a purpose-built holiday rental. We kindly ask guests to treat the space with care and respect during their stay.
- No parties or events
- Smoking is not permitted
- Please respect quiet hours for the comfort of neighbours
- Please do not exceed the maximum occupancy of six guests
- Any damage should be reported promptly
- The home contains personal belongings and artwork, which are part of its character — we appreciate your mindfulness while enjoying the space.
- Whilst the sofa bed is a double it is a small double. So whilst it can sleep two people it's not a spacious sleep for two!
