This holiday villa sits in its own private gardens, with plenty of space to make the most of the sun, or for children to play

Villa Alice is situated between Praia da Oura and Praia dos Alemães, close to the centre of Albufeira, a popular destination for Portuguese families.

It is traditional holiday home, painted white with its Portuguese niches and tiles and with the typical jagged chimney.

The garden and the pool are everyone's favourite spot. A fence of shrubs makes it sheltered and the large stone pine spreads its sweet aroma around.

Great communication throughout

Great communication throughout. Villa is exactly like the photos and is super clean. Great location for a walk to the beachto the bars and restaurants. Perfect for a groupfamily. Definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our time at Villa Alice

We really enjoyed our time at Villa Alice. The host was very flexible with our request to leave luggage at the property earlier than the organised check in time. The pool was in excellent condition and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked however there was no oil/salt/peppertoilet roll/bin bags provided that I was expecting. Excellent location with 10 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to the strip. Secure property but it was slightly complicated to lock up and only 1 set of keys provided however lockbox was easily accessible. We had an amazing time here and very much recommend.

Not what we expected.

Before booking this property you need to know exactly what Albufeira represents in the context of the Algarve. If this is what you are looking for then the location is very near the strip, quite loud until the early hours. The pool is brilliant but not secluded. The property has potential but the owners would be wise to invest some money in the place. We could write a list of more than twenty things that could be done for little money to make it so much nicer. Lighting, cupboard space, sockets, kitchen equipment to nam just a few.

Worst experience possible. House is a disaster. Host is invisible.

This is an old “traditional” house. The size and location are as described. What is not mentioned is that the house is 200m away from the Albufeira strip, meaning all night you can here the loud music from bars and clubs. The house overall is in a poor condition: furniture falling apart, beds assembled with ropes, electric sockets hanging loose, floor ceramic tiles broken, badly repaired with chips coming loose, doors, windows not well closing, we had to open all windows and doors for 2 days and put air fresheners in all rooms to reduce the old, humid house smell. The only reasonable item in this location is the pool. However tiles are cracked around the pool (some with sharp edges), property is advertised as private however share openly the garden/house terrace side with another villa. The host “welcomed” us inside, showed us the kitchen (only) and when we observed all the issues and shared our dissatisfaction she left immediately and said she will talk to the owner. We never saw her again during the two weeks we stayed there. We contacted Allure Villas, the real estate company, managing the house for the owner. We sent photos and explained and asked for a replacement location. She said this is impossible however she said she would offer us a compensation for our troubles we refused the compensation proposal and asked at least for the broken items to be replaced. Nothing was done. Do not go there. We filed an official complaint at the Consumer Protection office in Albufeira.

Mijn vrienden en ik hebben op het laatste moment deze villa geboekt en waren er erg blij mee. We hebben vooral in de tuin verbleven waar we heerlijk konden relaxen en zwemmen. Wanneer we hulp nodig hadden konden we makkelijk de aardige Vasco bereiken, die ons erg graag hielp. Zeker aan te raden, lekker flexibel en vriendelijke eigenaren. Dichtbij de strip en vanaf hier konden we alles lopen.

De locatie van het huis is bizar goed, en hij is ook erg waard voor je geld. Niet mega groot binnen, maar. buiten enorm ruim waar je met veel mensen kunt zitten. Host Ausenda was enorm lief en hielp ons met alles! 8/06/24 Het hek was kapot, en het duurde 6 dagen voordat deze was gemaakt. Hierdoor voelde ik. mij onveilig

nous avons passé de superbes vacances en famille. cette maison est typiquement portugaise et bien située proximité de 3 plages différentes, de nombreux restaurants et d'un parc pour les enfants avec city pour le foot et de l'autre côté une rue remplie de bars et de restaurants.

Hallo Jarno, We stellen uw feedback op prijs, wat een verrassing voor ons is. Dit is een traditioneel huis, blijkt uit de foto's. Het is echter geen kapotte. De woonkamer en 1 badkamer hebben inderdaad nieuwe foto's nodig, omdat ze zijn gerenoveerd en beter zijn geworden dan op de huidige foto's. De schoonmaakster is een betrouwbaar persoon. Als sth niet schoon was, waarom heb je het ons dan niet ter plaatse verteld? Wij danken u in ieder geval voor uw feedback. Het Allure Villas-team

Great BASIC Villa

The pool was ok swimming in the evening was a bit scary as the pool was not lit. The villa itself was very basic but clean. With the power sockets hanging of the wall and the ants crawling up the sing plug hole in the kitchen and the rock hard double bed in the master bedroom. The shower trays still fill with water while showering. The Villa sleeps 7 (really?) with seating only for 4 in the living room and bar stools at the kitchen breakfast bar also only seats 4. The kitchen is also very basic don't try and cook anything in the oven as there were no trays to cook on. Also no Air con. So very basic but clean Villa. Would we stay there again? No!

Two became One

Unfortunately our two week stay at Villa Alice was reduced from TWO to ONE as on arrival there was someone else in the Villa. There couldn't have been a worse scenario - 10.30pm and the accommodation we booked in December 2018 was occupied by persons unknown. A local Hotel became our accommodation for the first week and we moved into VILLA ALICE for the second week and quickly realised we had certainly missed out. Villa Alice is almost perfect in every way, plenty of space, great location, well furnished and a superb pool, which was regularly maintained. Despite the bad start I would most certainly consider staying here again.

Charming villa in a great location

Great villa, great location. Just a few observations that need addressing.... 1. Cold water is running very very slowly from taps 2. When showering the shower trays are filling up with water and not draining away. As is the same with the sink in the bathroom 3. There was no parasol. If your providing for children then this is a necessity. Overall, great stay and might see you back. Thanks John

Why they chose this property

Albufeira is located 40 km west of Faro and 50 km east of Lagos.
Albufeira was once a small fishing that with time became one of the most popular tourist attractions in Algarve. The city still retains some of its character and its Moorish heritage, with pretty streets lined with whitewashed houses, the ruins of the fortress and a high cliff overlooking the beach. For the ones who enjoy the nightlife, Albufeira has some of the best nightclubs to be found in Algarve.
During the summer water sports such as diving or windsurfing can be enjoyed in Albufeira´s calm blue sea.
The region also has an 18-hole golf course, a harbor and the Zoomarine water park.
Take the time to enjoy the delicious Portuguese food in one of the many restaurants that can here be found. The local specialty is called Cataplana, a mix of crispy seafood, shellfish and steamed fish.
