About this property
Beautiful 18th century 10 person Cottage in the heart of NE England w/hotub
Prudhoe Cottage is a delightful 5 bedroom home set in the heart of Prudhoe.
This 17th century property is located in its own grounds just off the high street & very close to all amenities. It boasts off-road parking & enclosed front & rear gardens making it an ideal home-away-from-home for anyone seeking to explore the beauty of the not-so-distant North Pennines. The Duke of Northumberland's crest is featured over the front door as he used to reside here when visiting the Tyne Valley.
Cozy up in front of the large open fire (logs provided) in the comfortable living room after relaxing in our hot tub. Enjoy family time around our large dining room table or visit one of the local restaurants. The Cottage offers ample space for large family or friend gatherings, both inside the house or in our large private garden. Whatever the season you visit us in, the cottage has what you need to make memories.
We have 5 bedrooms, the first at ground level with an adjacent bathroom with shower.
Bedroom 2 has a king bed, with large dressing table, a generous space to get ready for the bridal parties we have hosted in the past. It has its own en-suite with shower.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed & dressing table & also its own en-suite.
Bedrooms 4 & 5 both have 2 single beds & plenty of room for 2 people to comfortably share.
Upstairs you will also find the bathroom with bathtub, ideal for those who like a long soak in bubbles & next to it, our solo shower room. There are more than enough bathrooms to accommodate large gatherings.
Towels and linens are all provided giving you the space to enjoy your break without worrying about what to pack.
Prudhoe Cottage has a large, well equipped kitchen with wine cooler & everything you would need in a home from home.
Prudhoe Cottage is surrounded by transport links to everything the NE has to offer and is a vibrant, thriving community full of the loveliest people you will ever meet. There are numerous local walks around beautiful countryside & the locals are always happy to recommend their favourite.
The local shops are a two minute walk away. You will find everything from somewhere to buy groceries to souvenirs.
There’s also a local waterworld swimming pool, church & all types of takeaway services. We are also Centre to landmarks such as Bamburgh Castle, Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle to name a few. There’s also Beamish the Living Museum, Angel of The North, Tyne mouth & Whitley Bay, Holywell Dene & Almouth…the list is endless.
