In the center of Rome, it can happen to hear police sirens, and especially in October, there were several demonstrations due to the war in Gaza. In any case, the apartment's windows are soundproofed. Dear Leslie, thank You for Your review. I'm happy that you liked the location and the apartment! Please let me reply at your other comments: 1) the beds have a new othopedic mattress with a topper. There are duvets in the apartment, just on July the temperature is very hot in Rome, so we only use a ligtht cover for the beds. If you had asked we had provided duvets. As it's written in the first email we sent when you booked, we provide one set of towels per person (3 pieces), extra sets are on demand. 2) This unit is inside an historical building. Several buildings in central Rome don't have an elevator at all, so we are glad to have one, even if small. If you suffer of claustrophobia sure you should not use the lift, luckily our place is at the 2nd floor. 3) We have also another unit in the building that we rent since 2015 and nobody reported that had difficulty to open the front door of the building. 4) If you had asked anything to us during Your stay, we would had helped you, but we read only on the review your comments.
