This iconic former mill blends rich Cumbrian heritage with contemporary luxury; a unique and stylish home-from-home. Flooded with light from large picture windows, the interior is thoughtfully arranged to highlight the river and surrounding greenery, creating an instant sense of calm. Once sketched by Alfred Wainwright, Mint Mill holds a special place in Kendal's history. Today, it offers a unique base for relaxation or adventure, with Windermere just a 15-minute drive away and Kendal's town centre a short riverside walk.
The space
Step inside to a bright, beautifully arranged living space designed for comfort, relaxation and togetherness. The stunning open-plan lounge features dual-aspect floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river - a peaceful haven for watching birds and wildlife drift by. A huge U-shaped sofa invites long, cosy evenings, whether you're sharing a bottle of wine or settling in for a film on the 58" smart TV. The dining area sits directly beside the expansive windows, with an extendable table for six - eight guests so every meal feels like a moment framed by nature.

The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with NEFF appliances, quality cookware and everything needed to create special meals or easy home-from-home feasts. A separate utility room offers practical space for laundry, drying kit and muddy boots after riverside walks.

Three restful bedrooms provide flexibility and comfort: two large king-size rooms each feature luxurious Simba mattresses and 100% cotton sheets - a combination guests regularly praise for its exceptional comfort - while the third bedroom offers a cosy single bed and a dedicated desk, perfect for remote work or children's activities.

A spacious bathroom includes a modern shower over a deep freestanding bath, complemented by indulgent local toiletries from Bath House.

From the living area, gaze over the river from comfy beanbags or step out onto the small viewing balcony to enjoy morning coffee or quiet moments.

Stepping outside, the space is not enclose, but there is a public footpath that runs right from the doorstep - along the river into town, or through lush fields to riverside picnic spots or longer hikes in local fells, without the need to drive.
