The whole house and location was absolutely perfect for a getaway from your usual life. The kitchen is loaded with everything you might need. Plenty of space and things to do in the area. We even found sleds under front porch that was perfect for the slope on the back yard. Plenty of deers and wildlife in the area. Over all just a perfect stay. Host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.
This property exceeded our expectations. My husband and I drove from Michigan to Bailey, CO to visit our niece and nephew for the Christmas holiday. To our surprise, this property was just down the street from our nephew's home and we really enjoyed the little shops, restaurants and bars in Bailey. The open layout of the home was really great. Christmas decorations and lighting when we walked into the home were a special treat and made it feel even more like "home" to us. The bedding is super comfortable. Beautiful views at the home from sunrise to sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed (except for a corkscrew, but we had already brought one with us!). Internet and TV worked great. The hot tub was really wonderful after a long day of hiking, traveling to Breckenridge, etc., especially under the beautiful night sky and quiet, peaceful acreage of the home. Communicating with the owner was very helpful and we appreciated his notes and "Home Manual" to make sure everything was taken care of. Thank you for making our stay in Colorado one of our best Christmas holidays ever!
This property was just what we were looking for and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. A couple of things I would suggest, however:1. We had to use bathroom towels and washcloths in the kitchen. There were no actual "kitchen linens." This was not ideal.2. We would LOVE to have had a strainer in the kitchen along with some mixing bowls. Was a bit hard to make Thanksgiving dinner without some of these items.3. The oven was crazy dirty and we were afraid that we might start a fire in it while cooking our turkey. Would have been nice to have a clean oven.4. There were quite a few dead flies all over the house. Don't know how many I picked up and threw away...but it was a lot.Anyway, with all that being said, we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub (altho two of the clasps were already broken when we arrived so it was hard to secure the cover) and the beds were nice a comfy. Thank you!
We wanted to stay in the mountains/woods during our time in Colorado and this fit the bill perfectly! The house was very comfortable. Would definitely look at staying here again.
Everything was wonderful, I know the rules were in place for good reason I just wish it was told no shoes in the house upfront. But the place was very beautiful and had everything we needed. The hot tube was amazing my family loved relaxing in it after the site seeing all day. The owner was great and helped us amazingly. Thank You so much we had the best time.
We had an amazing stay at this property. Very easy to get to, very clean and Paul was great to work with. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was stocked with everything you need for cooking and then some. The view is beautiful if you want to relax and take it all in off the deck. We will always look to rent this house next time we are visiting family
The Rustic Mountain property is everything is speaks to be! The house is immaculately kept, and has everything you need! The hot tub and views are amazing, and Paul was a perfect and communicative host! We can’t wait to go back!
Lovely house with amazing views and a great location. This house is a hidden gem! Beautiful inside and out! Well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of room to relax, and the view off the back deck is picturesque! The location is fabulous too - a quiet street, plenty of hiking trails nearby, just up the road from a great restaurant (The Smiling Pig), and a quick trip down the highway to the grocery store. The host gave great check-in/check-out instructions and was prompt with answers to any questions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway in the Colorado mountains.
Fantastic property with unbelievable mountain views. The hot tub was the perfect place to unwind after an adventure packed day in the surrounding cities. Paul is a great host, and is always available to help with any concerns you may have. Don't sleep on this place!
This property is awesome! Very clean! Kitchen is well stocked and has anything you would need. Owner responds promptly and very easy to work with. Would book this Baily home again.
Nice cabin in the woods with just the right amount of modern conveniences (especially the deck an hot tub). Close to plenty of services and convenience, but also great wilderness hikes, etc.
The photos are accurate! The views are wonderful and the home had enough space for our first blended family vacation. 9, 13, 14, and 17 year olds loved the place. Host was super fast to respond to questions.
Kids already asked when we can go back. The extra drive to Rocky mountain National Park is worth it to stay here and be so comfortable. Same with Mt. Evans.
Thanks so much!
Less than a week after leaving The Rûstic Mountain House, we’re already reminiscing the good times we had and wish we could call this place our own. My group of friends/family searched a long time for the perfect spot—somewhere in the mountains with coffee views and a great hot tub; a clean home with plenty of room to stretch out and relax for each of us; updated/modern appliances, utilities and construction; local things to do and see but not terribly far from Denver; and last but not least, easy communication with the owner and overall process.
Stop looking. Not only was this home an excellent and eye-catching choice for what we each wanted, we were so enamored with the small, picturesque town of Bailey and everything it had to offer. Everyone was so friendly, caring and informative—you can spend a day or more discovering new, fun things about the town, and more major locales/shopping centers are but a short, very scenic drive away!
The owner, Paul, was a champ at answering all of our questions/concerns at lightning speed and has done an excellent job keeping the place clean, organized and modern. His house rules are common sense and easy to follow. The surrounding area is very beautiful and serene—the only neighbors we encountered were some deer and a couple of bald eagles!
Well done and thank you, Paul!
Great property, just as the photos show. Just make sure you have a proper car to navigate the driveway. Loved our stay!
