About this property
Hillcrest House, Ashbourne
Summary:
Hillcrest House in Thorpe near Ashbourne, Derbyshire sleeps 22 in 10 rooms.
The Space:
The living areas consist of a kitchen with electric double oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, fridge, wine cooler and two dishwashers, a utility with washing machine and a tumble dryer, a living/dining room with dining seating for twenty-two guests and a woodburning stove, a snug with TV, a sauna, and a games room. The bedrooms consist of a super-king size with en-suite, four king-size with en-suites, two of which are on the ground floor, a king-size, a twin, two second-floor king-size with en-suites, and second-floor twin, along with a bathroom, a ground-floor shower room, a second-floor shower room and a cloakroom. Outside there is an enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio, furniture, two hot tubs and a sauna, as well as off-road parking for ten cars. Please note that this is a pet-friendly property but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Hillcrest House is a splendid abode, ideal for a group break to Derbyshire.
The Neighborhood:
Ashbourne, which is located at the southernmost point of the Peak District, is the epitome of an English market town, complete with a market place with stalls, an odd street layout, winding cobblestone lanes, coaching inns, and almshouses. The town was a posh social hub during its heyday in the 18th century, and many lovely Georgian structures from this time period still stand today. The town is still known as something of a sanctuary for antique hunters today and still has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and inns, but don't expect a deal!
