In the heart of Bad Staffelstein—just a few steps away from cafés, restaurants, and bars—a cozy vacation apartment awaits you on the ground floor of our lovingly restored "Häusle im Badegässla" (Little House in the Bathing Lane).
We made it our mission to breathe new life into this small, heritage-listed gem from the 19th century, pouring our heart and soul—along with a great deal of sensitivity—into the restoration. The result is a harmonious blend of historic architecture and modern comfort: many original materials were refurbished, repurposed, and creatively integrated into the design—from an old wagon wheel component serving as a towel rack to restored pieces of furniture that now fulfill new functions.
In the combined living, dining, and kitchen area, you can enjoy hours of relaxation on the sofa in front of the large flat-screen TV, or at the cozy dining table featuring a charming seating nook. The kitchen is seamlessly integrated into the room and equipped with everything you might need: an induction stovetop, dishwasher, fully automatic coffee machine (stocked with Fair Trade beans), organic teas, toaster, kettle, dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots, and pans.
A special highlight is the private glass sauna, complete with a relaxation chair, towels, bathrobes, and a selection of aromatic infusions. Subtle lighting sources create an atmospheric ambiance—perfect for reading, unwinding, and taking a deep breath.
The bedroom invites you to enjoy hours of restful sleep with its comfortable bed, various lighting options, and a television. In the bathroom—despite the low ceiling height—you will find a modern, spa-like space featuring a walk-in shower, vanity, toilet, and thoughtful little extras such as a shower gel dispenser and towel rack. A quick note: The rain showerhead is not suitable for guests taller than 1.75 m (approx. 5'9"); however, showering with the handheld showerhead is, of course, still possible (the ceiling height is 2 meters). After all, it is an old little house—full of history and unique quirks! Thus, our "Häusle im Badegässla" uniquely combines history, craftsmanship, and modern comfort—a place to arrive, feel at home, and linger.
Note for Cyclists: We have provided a dedicated storage area for your (e-)bikes in the entrance hall of the house. To access this area, bicycles must be carried up the three steps leading into the building.
Parking Information: A private parking space is available exclusively for your use 24 hours a day, located approximately 300 meters away. Short-term parking spaces (with a 2-hour limit) are situated in the immediate vicinity of the apartment (free parking is also permitted in these spaces between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM). You may pull up directly in front of the house for loading and unloading purposes.
