Just a few kilometers away, Caminha (5 km) preserves its medieval historic center, with the Clock Tower, a granite square, restaurants, and a ferry connection to Spain. Even closer, Vila Nova de Cerveira invites you to explore art, its hilltop castle, and the Minho River. Spain is only 20 km away: La Guardia, renowned for its seafood preserves, is a classic getaway.



Further afield — but unmissable — are the Atlantic beaches of Moledo and Vila Praia de Âncora (10 km), Viana do Castelo (25 km) with the Santa Luzia Basilica perched on the hilltop, Ponte de Lima (30 km), and even Peneda‑Gerês National Park (40 km). Driving is the most convenient way to explore the region: Caminha is just 5 minutes away, Viana do Castelo 30 minutes, and Porto a little over an hour, with the A28 providing fast access north and south. The Spanish border in Caminha opens the way to Galicia’s Rías Baixas. The property offers free private parking for several vehicles.

For long‑distance travelers, access is simple: Porto Airport is about 1 hour away via the A28, Lisbon 4 hours via the A1/A28, Santiago de Compostela 1 hour via the AP‑9/A28, and Vigo only 45 minutes. For those who prefer public transport, Transdev buses connect Vilar de Mouros to Caminha, where you’ll find a train station (5 km) on the scenic Minho Line with direct service to Porto. The nearest bus stop is about 500 meters from the village.
