OMG I wish I could give this place more stars! When I say it was perfect, please believe me:1. The location - just off the main highway, yet feels very private with the landscaping. Plus, pretty easy to find in the dark. It was very quiet and peaceful to sit on the porch and stayed quiet through the night.2. THE VIEW. I've stayed in about 6 other rentals around Arenal/La Fortuna/El Castillo, all with views of the volcano, but this place was THE BEST by far. You feel like you're *at* the base of mountain - it felt so close. 3. Inside was very clean, polished and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment, the bathroom was spotless, the bed was comfortable and had good linens and maybe most importantly for US guests, the AC was strong and quiet. Even the freezer was cold enough to make ice. Perfection.4. But my favorite part was that somehow, in this small space, the owners had literally everything you need, down to the little things. Brought some wine? Here are wine glasses. Need a q-tip? Right there next to the sink. Want to light a candle on the porch? There's the lighter. It was impressive how they cared about and catered to the needs of guests. We only stayed one night, but we both thought we could stay a week in the house very comfortably.
