Right in the middle of a riverside rain forest and private gardens with beautiful flora and fauna all around, yet only five minutes away from downtown Fortuna, this is Casa del Bosque. Great view of the Arenal Volcano, ideal for families or groups of friends. As part of a gated community is very quiet, wide, and safe and it has different environments within the house to enjoy with all the necessary amenities to spend a very comfortable, joyful, and pleasant stay. Nature and comfort await for you.
• Location: 2 kilometers from downtown Fortuna in a gated community, EcoQuintas, La Huerta Condominium house 38A
• Three bedrooms, one on the first floor and two in the second one. Air conditioning and each and one of them.
• All rooms with roof fans.
• All windows and doors screened.
• Two full bathrooms, one on each floor, each with hair drier.
• TV and reading room
• Two terraces, one on each floor, both with a clear roof and one equipped with a BBQ and a dining table.
• One living room with a flat screen

A great gem in La Fortuna

This place is a dream! The view of the volcano, the beautiful trees surrounding the house make you feel like you’re in the jungle. It rained everyday we were there and it didn’t matter because it felt cozy and quiet. The house had plenty of space for 2 couples and 2 kids, and probably would’ve fit 2 more kids. The neighborhood is really safe as it is a gated community with an armed guard at the gate. We never felt unsafe. The house was spotless when we got there and everything worked. No issues whatsoever. Would book this place again for sure.

Perfect spot

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was clean and comfortable with all the amenities in the kitchen. The room AC’s worked great and the bathrooms were very nice. We had great communication throughout which made our stay so comfortable and relaxing. It is a great location close to town too!

Super clean and well built

Sturdy and very clean home a little ways from downtown La Fortuna. Very quiet and well-maintained in a safe neighborhood monitored by security. It can be a little difficult to find but host’s directions were helpful.

Great option close to La Fortuna and activities

Lovely place for a family to stay. We liked the balconies, close proximity to La Fortuna but away from the noise. Very peaceful nature surrounding. Couldn’t quite see the volcano but saw lots of birds and it was easy to access for tour pickups.

La fortuna base

Very clean. Nicely furnished. We had three couples, each had a separate bedroom. Nice lounge area upstairs with couch and tv. Nice upper patio, with bar-b-que. Located in gated community. Near town, and attractions.

Amazing House!

There is no doubt we had an incredible stay at La Fortuna and part of this experience was staying at the most comfortable and beautiful house possible. Located in a secured area, away from the hustle and bustle, Ricardo's place is modern, new, and well-designed. You have all the kitchen amenities, 3 bedrooms with ACs, ceiling fans and huge closets. It has two big terraces and it was spotless. Ricardo was super nice and very helpful. I highly recommend this property.

When I brought up this survey, I could not see what the categories were, so I just put 5 for all. We loved the house with the upstairs terrace and listening to the water.Things we would have liked.The directions were a bit confusing so I am glad we got there during the day. Maybe improve those a bit.Second. You had us put toilet paper in the basket which I do understand. I would have liked for there to be a couple extra small garbage bags in the bathrooms so we could change them out. I found the smell was bad and hated to go into the bathroom.

Gorgeous house in beautiful setting

The property owner contacted us well in advance with detailed information about how to locate the house and how to get into the house. It is super helpful to have this information early and with clear details--THANK YOU! (*Do* be sure to use the property owner's specific information about locating the house.) The house is a very nice, modern, beautiful house with plenty of beds, furniture, and kitchen materials. It is surrounded by gorgeous trees and plants. The porches are wonderful for relaxing. The house is in a gated neighborhood which makes it feel secure. While there are other houses nearby, we were not distracted by the neighbors or others in the neighborhood. Only 2 complaints: (1) When we arrived there was a bowl of dried oatmeal in the sink that had attracted a bunch of tiny crawling bugs and we had to get that fixed right away; fortunately, we found some bug spray in the cabinet to the right of the washer/dryer; (2) the driveway is very, very steep which makes it difficult to see as you pull in and pull out onto the road--there's not much the owner could do about this, though. We thoroughly enjoyed our time--the house is excellent and we would recommend this place to anyone staying near La Fortuna. We really appreciated the excellent communications with the hosts. THANK YOU!

Easy to access and very close to downtown La Fortuna. Liked being in a quiet, quaint neighborhood. The property sits next to the river. We had some heavy rain and you could hear the river flowing as well as sounds of the forest. It was nice. Contained everything we needed and was comfortable all around.

I have never rated a VRBO bc we just haven’t been able to give 5 stars until this time. This home was just so perfect! The host was hospitable. The home was comfortable and safe as well as beautiful! We just loved our stay. If we visit La Fortuna again, we would not have to look anywhere else. We would book again here todos los tiempo!

Great pick in La Fortuna

This house was amazing-- clean, spacious, nice porches, looked just like the pictures in the posting. The view of the volcano was amazing and my daughter enjoyed using the pool. Good communication with the owner, would definitely recommend this house!

Clean, Stress Free check in and 5min drive to La Fortuna

Our family with adult children enjoyed our stay. The security guards for the gated community were nice. Clean place and relaxing environment. Quiet. One of our group really likes to have a dishwasher (and there isn’t one) but the rest of us didn’t mind handwashing. We were very happy.

Lovely retreat

We chose to stay here as opposed to downtown La Fortuna for a quiet retreat. Well-appointed, comfortable home and with two living rooms which was nice for the family to spread out. It was a safe neighborhood, right along a river, with lovely surroundings. There was a sweet little restaurant within walking distance, a grocery store about a mile away, and uber trips to town usually cost about 5-7.

Despite an initial hiccup when arriving, I contacted Pablo and he immediatley solved the problem. Our stay was great, very quiet, and the house was well appointed. Highly recommend.

CLEAN & COMFORTABLE! A GREAT Stay!

This was a last minute short stay, but we will definitely be back. The well maintained home was SUPER Clean & Comfortable. The location was GREAT. We felt very safe and we had EXCELLENT Communication with the owner/manager. The layout was very convenient with the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom on the 1st floor and 2 guest bedrooms on the 2nd floor with a very nice shared bathroom. We LOVED the large kitchen table with 6 chairs and the comfy living room furniture. Bath towels were fluffy, soft, and absorbent. Fast internet. Large laundry room with sink & stack washer /dryer that worked well Thank you Pablo. We appreciate how much you care.

Home in the woods

The best home you can imagine in La Fortuna! Listen to the music of birds, the Rio Burio, and intermittent rains near Arenal. Enjoy so many amazing touches: excellent design, a wonderful coffee maker with some coffee on hand, a bench and a hammock protected from the rain, a community swimming pool, a sense of security, great bathrooms, everything works, and it's so comfortable with ceiling fans, great linens, and lots of windows. Pablo responds very quickly and can make recommendations in the local area. We felt so lucky to find this place and never wanted to leave!
