Hello

We are Raymond and Emma...

Like many families, life has taken us on a wonderful adventure. We swapped Scotland for the UAE many years ago but one thing we realised along the way that what we missed the most was somewhere everyone naturally came together.

When we found this house, we knew it was a place for us to gather together. The Meeting Place - inspired by the Scottish spirit of Tigh Ceilidh - a welcoming home where family and friends gather to share good food, stories and laughter.

When we are here, you will find us exploring the market in Uzes, discovering hidden villages, cooking local produce and enjoying long lunches that somehow become dinner.

Hosting is our way of sharing that experience with others. We have created a home that's made for slowing down, reconnecting and making memories with the people who matter most.

Why they chose this property

Why here?

I spent every summer in France as a child, exploring so many different corners of the country. Strangely, this was the one place we never visited.

When we finally discovered it, we wondered how we had missed it for so long.

For us, this part of southern France has everything we love about Provence but at a gentler pace. The markets are just as colourful, the food and wine are just as memorable and the rolling countryside feels wonderfully untouched. You will find quiet villages, local cafes and roads lines with sunflowers.

It's a place that invites you to slow down. To linger over lunch, loose track of time in the market and finish you day around the table with the people you came with.

We hope you will fall in love with it just as much as we did.

What makes this property unique

Some homes are made simply to stay in.

This one was created to bring people together.

The Meeting Place began with a simple idea: that the best memories are often made around a table, under the stars, with good food, old friends and nowhere else you need to be.

Inspired by the Scottish tradition of Tigh Cèilidh, a welcoming home where people gather for stories, laughter and connection, this French village house is a place to slow down and enjoy time together.

Tucked away in Garrigues‑Sainte‑Eulalie, close to Uzès, you'll enjoy village life while exploring markets, vineyards, rivers and some of southern France's most beautiful towns.

Designed for families and friends, the heart of the home is its kitchen, dining spaces and outdoor terrace and where conversations last longer than expected and holidays become lifelong memories.
