Scale House by Group Retreats

Scale House is a Grade II listed country estate accommodating up to 22 guests across nine luxurious bedrooms, ideal for celebrations, family gatherings, retreats and corporate offsites.

Dating back to the late 1500s, the property has been beautifully restored to combine historic character with exceptional modern comfort. Guests can enjoy a variety of elegant social spaces including cosy lounges with open fires, formal reception rooms and a magnificent dining room seating the entire group.

The fully equipped kitchen features a traditional AGA, double ovens and breakfast seating, making it ideal for self catering stays or private dining experiences.

One of Scale House`s standout features is its extensive leisure offering, including a private cinema room, games area, gym, yoga studio, sauna and outdoor hot tub. These facilities create a unique retreat style experience rarely found in large group accommodation. The estate also welcomes well behaved dogs.

Set within private woodland and gardens in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the property offers complete privacy while remaining within easy reach of Skipton, Grassington and the region`s most popular attractions.
During Your Stay

• Check-in is from 4pm unless arranged otherwise prior to your arrival.

• Electric vehicles are not to be charged from our electricity supply at any of our properties unless stated otherwise. Kindly use the Zapmap app to find the nearest public charging place to the property.
• Please observe and adhere to all speed limits on the driveways.
• When on our walking routes, please close all gates.
• Noise. Please keep noise to a reasonable level at all times. If playing music indoors during the evenings, please ensure to keep any windows closed. Your gathering must be brought inside by 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends to control noise.

We have noise monitors fitted at all of our properties. Please note that they DO NOT record voices, only decibel sound levels.

• You are welcome to use the candles anywhere in the property.
• Please ensure to use the designated smoking areas only.
• Only wood is to be burned in our fires and these must be extinguished if left or when you go to bed.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the hot tub.
• The hot tub must be filled with water at all times. If the water level falls below the top water jets it must be refilled immediately.
• If the hot tub water is not completely clear it must not be used. Please inform us immediately if this happens.
• No glass to be taken to the hot tub.
• Do not use any glitter or confetti. No decorations are to be sellotaped, pinned or blue tacked to the walls or doors.

• We do not allow fireworks, external speakers, DJ’s, marquees, or day guests exceeding the maximum number of guests at the property.
• Please do not flush wet wipes or anything else that is not toilet tissue down the toilet.





When You Leave

• The house must be vacated by 11am at the latest.
• All rubbish must be removed from the house and gardens, and placed in the correct bins outside.
• All washing up must be done or loaded into the dishwasher.
• All unused food is to be thrown away or taken with you.
• All furniture and items must be returned to where they came from.



Failure to observe the above rules may result in loss of damage deposit
