Historic holiday home from 1919 in Marielyst

In this charming summer house from 1919, national romantic architecture meets local building traditions. The house is one of the first in the seaside resort of Marielyst and has a very special history with its characteristic thatched outer walls, typical of the southern Danish islands.



The cottage, which was rebuilt in 1996 and extended with a studio in 2005, has retained all its original features. The well-thought-out interior design creates the perfect setting for your vacation, where the wings of history meet modern conveniences.



The private grounds are naturally secluded and located in the old Marielyst neighborhood, where large pine trees create a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Here you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the terrace or in the garden while letting everyday life slip into the background.



From the house, you have easy access to Marielyst's charming town life with restaurants, shops, and cafés. Explore the area and visit Hesnæs, enjoy a meal at Pomle Nakke restaurant, or explore the historic Korselitze Gods. The beach is just 400 meters away and invites you to take long walks along the water's edge.

A very charming, well-maintained house that’s been...

A very charming, well-maintained house that’s been around for quite a few years, surrounded by a very large garden with plenty of opportunities for play. Our 5-year-old grandson absolutely loved the many hiding spots—they really sparked his imagination. It’s a lovely location close to the beach with plenty of shopping options, and if you’re into that sort of thing, there are “water holes” where you can cool off during the heat of the day. We highly recommend this place.
