Your own seaside village by the North Sea

In Bjerghuse, between the fjord and the North Sea, you'll find a seaside resort with a rich history. What was once a children's camp back in the 1950s is now a gathering place where you can book the entire property: 11 small cabins and a large community house, with room for up to 35 guests. Here, you've the opportunity to bring your community on holiday and grow closer to one another—enjoying both privacy and plenty of space to be together.



Spread out among the 11 cabins, each with its own cosy atmosphere. When you step inside, you’ll be surrounded by wooden walls and a functional layout. Make yourself a cup of coffee in the kitchenette and sit around the small folding table on the wall. You can also make a jug of fruit punch and enjoy it outside in the sun on the terrace. In the bathroom, you can take a cold shower after a long, hot day. If you visit in the winter, you can warm your towel on the towel warmer. When evening falls in the cabin, you can gather on the sofa and share memories from the day before heading off to bed.



In the beach town, you can rent any of the eleven cabins. There are plenty of opportunities to socialise in the large community house, which serves as an extension of the cabin’s living room. You can also grill sausages on the grill in the outdoor area around the community house. And if your dinner's lacking a bit of flavour, you're sure to find some herbs in the kitchen garden. At the campfire site, you can sit all evening telling stories or roasting marshmallows as the light slowly fades. During the day, you can head out to explore the area, which offers both beautiful nature and cultural experiences. Visit, for example, Bovbjerg Lighthouse, where art exhibitions are often held. In the fishing village of Thorsminde, you’ll find the St. George Shipwreck Museum, where you can learn about some of the dramatic shipwrecks in history along the West Coast. You can also take the kids to the forest playground, located near the seaside resort. Let the kids run and play among the trees while you take a deep breath of the fresh forest air. At Staby Ice Cream Farm, you can sample handmade farm-fresh ice cream and take a look inside the barn. Here, the kids can learn how to milk a cow or get to pet the little calves.
