Our stay at this property was lovely. It was spotless upon arrival and when we did need to reach out to the owner he was incredibly responsive. Highly recommend for a weekend away.
Lots of privacy, quiet cabin, with lots of cute decor. Was the perfect place I needed to think, and I strive to someday have a nice little place like this someday.

Everything you need
Accommodations were very clean. Everything we needed was provided (towels, etc). Very quiet, yet quick access to main highways. Beautiful property.
I absolutely love this cozy place! This is my 3rd stay and every time it’s a little better than the last! It has just about everything you would need to be comfortable, even has WiFi! That was a plus for the short time I had to work. The view from the cabin and on the deck is pure beauty! The host is always available and very helpful. I’ll be back!
Mitch bent over backwards to assist me anytime I needed. I have another trip planned to "the little lodge" in August as well. Don't miss this place! Very enjoyable AND...Comes with a boat!
What a lovely trip we had! Sitting out on the lake in the boat, a Sunday night bonfire, and a walk on the Trezona Trail in Ely was just what we needed. House was just rustic enough while being super well-stocked and comfortable. Thanks Mitch!
This cabin has everything you need for a nice comfortable stay up north. Everything was cleaned and the property is absolutely beautiful. Due to the cold weather we did not use the boat or grill but I loved that they provide activities and things to do in nice weather. I especially enjoyed the wild life around the property and exploring the towns. The owner is very responsive and always answers your questions. I was very pleased with our stay at the little lodge and would love to visit again.
We had a great time at the cabin. The bed was very comfortable and and it we slept very well. The cabin was very well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very quiet snd peaceful. We did some fishing and caught some very nice bass and northern pike. We hiked many beautiful trails around the area. Mitch was readily available for any questions we had. We had hoped to get a glimpse of the northern lights but unfortunately it was cloudy most of the trip. We would definitely return if we get back to the area.
We used the little cabin and were very happy with the place. The lake provided good fishing and kayaking. The BBQ grill was perfect for burgers and the kitchen was well stocked with everything that one might need. I was able to get some work done using the great WIFI connection and was very happy with my remote office!
There is no air conditioning, so if you are visiting in the summer, you might want to bring a fan. We would visit again in the future! Thanks, Mitch.

Needs work
The cabin needs work. Trim loose, air blowing in leaky windows, stained carpets, broken couch, and mice. Had problem with owner about check in and then 1 hour to check in we get a text that the cabin is ready. Had to text back because we were not given a code to get in. Could be a nice place but needs much attention now.
The lake and the property surrounding the cabin was nice, I spent a lot of time outside on the patio and the swing. Lake levels were low due to drought, so launching the boat was a bit of a hassle but possible. Spent one day fishing but caught absolutely nothing (more a comment on my skills than the lake, I saw fish jumping every evening).
Overall it's a decent value, but a weird vibe. The place looks very dilapidated from the outside, with damaged siding and exposed insulation all over. It's not at all inviting. The interior is nice though, quite spacious despite a very weird layout.
I basically had two major issues with the place.
1: there are night vision security cameras on all sides of the cabin. This seems a little invasive, borderline creepy even. It made me wonder if there were cameras inside also (I looked, didn't find any). Still, CREEPY.
2: There's a GIANT street light attached to the garage that comes on at sundown. It illuminates most of the property, which pretty much ruins the whole campfire-under-the stars vibe completely. No stars, no wildlife - just one big, VERY bright light. It does attract a LOT of bugs though, if you're into that. Nice i guess if you're scared of the dark.
Property was very neat and clean. Nice and quiet area. We felt secluded from society and enjoyed the view of the lake on the deck. Mitch was very responsive to any questions we had for him.
Great little cabin. If you're looking for upscale cabin, this is not for you. If you're looking for a perfect little cabin to fish or ride, this is the place to go!! Access to ATV trails nice and close, no trailering just get in sxs and go.
It was clean and welcoming. The property was beautiful, private and peaceful.

This 1.87 acre property was originally owned by my family and in approximately 1953 my grandfather sold it to a friend of his, essentially breaking up the 40 acres that surrounded the lake, 64 years later and a whole lot more than it sold for in 53, I purchased it back. now once again making this property whole....
