Wonderful place to celebrate my Mother’s 100th birthday. Great spaces for all our family. The property is excellent and has great views of Lake Anna. I would highly recommend Wine Down to anyone vacationing at Lake Anna.

Our second time at Wine Down, and we loved it again - wonderful home & location, plenty big for all of us, lots of comfortable space inside & outside to hangout. We'd love to come back for a third time, it's been a great experience.

This property is a top-notch option for vacationing at Lake Anna. The location is perfect. The entire setting is serene. The little bay area in front of the house is a really good spot for fishing. We caught 10 largemouth bass there. The house is well stocked with everything we needed. Large Jacuzzi is a big plus! Our host contact, Susan, was very attentive and went above and beyond in helping us looking for a missing item after we checked out. We really appreciate her service. Only suggestion to the host is to add a boat house which is very common at Lake Anna. For such a luxurious property, a boat house is a must-have. It will elevate the entire experience.

PROs: Wine Down has something for the whole family ... lake front, kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, and hot tub. The home is very private, nice and has modern amenities. And a whole house generator. CONs: There was no check-in from host or manager once we arrived. Attention to detail is needed as some features are a bit worn down / dated. Particularly on the outside. We booked the home for our annual end of summer vacation. Upon arrival, we had to clear spider webs and leaves off the outdoor furniture, patio, and upstairs deck. There was a disgusting amount of flies everyday on the outdoor cushions and rug (washing the rug and cushions to remove old spills and stains would probably help!). Unresponsive host and property manager. There was a bad storm and electricity was knocked out, however, a generator kicked on. Thank goodness because we were unable to reach the property manager for 3 days prior on another issue. The listing is misleading: there is no private pool, but there is a large hot tub (can accommodate 10 people standing).

Truly one of the most beautiful lake front properties. The home is clean with everything you could need inside and out to enjoy lake life! The host and his team were great to work with. We had such a wonderful stay at this lake house on Lake Anna! Andy (the owner) and Susan (the manager) were incredibly responsive and accommodating, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The house itself was clean, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The views of the lake were absolutely breathtaking—especially at sunrise and sunset. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be renting again in the future!

This is our second time staying at wine down and it feels like home!

Susan was our property manager and she was amazing as we had a few questions and she responded immediately. We had such a wonderful weekend at wine down. The house is beautiful, comfortable, clean and the hot tub and yard makes your stay magical!
