Beautiful and Spacious Private Pool Home in "The Shire" Gated Community. Perfect for a family vacation, a business trip or a relaxing couples getaway. Close to Disney and Universal theme parks. Champions Gate is nearby and offers plenty of charming restaurants, shops and golfing. Relax by the heated pool or take a dip in the hot tub spa. Need to get some work done? No worries - this home provides free wifi as well as an office nook equipped with a printer and scanner for your convenience. The Shire now has new Flat Screen TVs in most rooms, and a separate living and family room - perfect for a multi family vacation. We have also added a BBQ Grill for your convenience. Everything you could want under one roof.

Nearby Clubhouse features a gym, ping pong table, tennis courts, sand volleyball, media area and a large community pool.

(Pool heat is an additional $20 per day to offset energy bill costs. Please let us know at the time of booking if you are requesting pool heat. Pool heat is for the entire length of stay. At least 48 hours notice required to warm pool prior to arrival.)

We had a wonderful stay! The host was very prompt and easy to communicate with. The house was clean, spacious, and perfect for our group. The kids absolutely loved the pool! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and plenty of dishes, which made meal prep easy. The location was ideal — close to Disney and just a short drive to the beaches. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home with plenty of space. The owner is very quick to respond when you need a question answered. Great location. We will definitely be booking another trip here in the future.

Family Vacation

Thank you for a lovely stay. Villa was as described. Monica was super efficient in responding to any queries, which were resolved quickly. Some areas could do with a little update and further cleaning. Despite this, we had a great few weeks in a lovely quiet and safe residential area. Thanks again Monica!

Perfect relaxing stay for the holidays

Our family was looking for someplace convenient to things to see and do in Orlando, but we wanted a quiet neighborhood to get away from the noise when we wanted to. This place was perfect! The gated neighborhood meant we didn't see hardly any cars coming by the house, and we had a great time relaxing in the heated pool and hot tub while looking over the natural area in the backyard. The house had lots of space for our family & we loved the open floorplan for casual dining and watching TV etc. The workspace was a nice touch and wifi was super fast, very much appreciated as we needed to do some work while away from home. Home was very clean and our host was super responsive with any questions. Overall awesome stay!

Beautiful Home

My family and I enjoyed every moment spent in this beautiful home! Monica was very polite, reliable and super sweet. Every time I messaged her, she would respond. She checked on my family and I throughout our stay and I really love that! She made us feel very comfortable in her home! I would recommend this home to any and everyone! Nice Property

We've had a great time at West Haven. The house is nicely located in Champions Gate, Davenport. It was nicely equipped with all of our needs. Each of the bedrooms had a TV. The beds were very comfortable which produced quality sleep. The host was available for any questions, and responded quickly. We've experienced an issue with the hot tub, however the host quickly rectified the issue. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your house.

Awesome!

I loved my stay here with my family. The house is very spacious; lots of room to spread out when you have different age range of children. Everyone had their own space to relax and when it was time to come together the common areas were just what we needed including the pool and spa. We were very close to all the theme parks and any type of store we may have needed. Also was close to restaurants. We had a fun time cooking and eating together as the kitchen was fully equipped. The neighborhood is very quiet also. I would recommend the Shire to anyone that ask about my vacation.

Just as Advertised with great Customer Service

Property was lovely, and Monica was very helpful and responded in a timely manner to my questions. My family enjoyed themselves. I would definitely will rent this home again or anyone of Monica properties. Only comment I would add is that the other bedrooms outside of the master bedroom the mattresses were on the hard side. But like I said I would still rent this house again.

Family Birthday Celebration

We spent the week with our two children and their families. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The layout of the house was perfect and very well maintained. We had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked. Check in and check out was very easy. The pool and air hockey were enjoyed by all. Wish the jets in the spa were stronger. We didn’t use it as much as we wanted but we were in the pool everyday. Lots of beach towels but needs a few more bath towels. The property is close to lots of restaurants and the neighborhood was great. I would highly recommend this property. Thank you Monica. One of my favorite rental properties.

Little things lacking

The house was beautiful as advertised. However, online it said oil and salt and pepper were provided, they were not. We had to go on a late night trip to find a store open and buy some to cook with. When tp was running out for the 6 of us with a 5 day stay, we were Then told we were provided only 1 complimentary roll per bathroom and had to provide any more. Another trip to the grocery store. Shampoo was supposed to be provided and was not. Only at the house was a book that stated starter kit provided of soaps, etc. not online. That included only 2 kitchen trash bags, 2 laundry pods, no dryer sheets, and teensy hand soaps for sinks/shower. Having to buy extra and then take home in our luggage felt very annoying when it would cost the host about $10 more to provide in general more supplies.

Perfect vacation home for large family.

Monica was such a great host from beginning to end. She text with me before and checked on us during our stay. The house is big and spaced out. Very clean and decorated beautifully. We loved the pool and patio area. We spent a lot of time out there. It was nice to have privacy and there was no neighbors to the one side and none to the back. The rooms are spaced out so the kids were not right on top of us. The kitchen is big and lots of space to cook and eat. I love the furniture in the back living room. The kids really enjoyed the game room. The only regret I had was not booking my additional days sooner. When we extended our vacation I wasn't able to get my last 3 nights there so were sad when we had to leave lol. But Monica was very accommodating because I originally booked it one extra night after our original reservation. I can see why this house is in high demand. We would definitely come again. We are from Orlando and live in Texas now. One thing to be very mindful of is that the neighborhood is serious about no parking on the street after midnight. The tow truck did come through after midnight and almost towed our car. We got outside in time to move it into the driveway but he did tow the neighbors car. That would have been horrible on vacation.

perfect vakantie huis in een hele veilige buurt

De communicatie met de eigenaar vanaf het moment van boeken van de woning was perfect. Alle informatie die nodig was is keurig van tevoren geregeld. Het huis was prima uitgerust. Goede bedden, badkamers, slaapkamers en een goed uitgeruste keuken. De hele wijk is beveiligd door een toegangshek en door middel van een code die vooraf gegeven wordt krijg je toegang tot de wijk en de deur bij de woning. Lekker zwembad en de mogelijkheid om de barbeque aan te steken. Parkeren voor de deur. De pretparken zijn te bereiken tussen de 15 en 30 minuten. Een supermarkt (Publix) zit op 5 minuten rijden. Diverse mogelijkheden om uit eten te gaan in de buurt. Kortom. Een prima huis, een veilige omgeving en prima communicatie met Monica, de eigenaar. We zouden zo weer boeken.

Great stay

Everything was as stated. Monica stayed in touch to be sure things were going well after our arrival and the night before we left. Of the homes we have stayed at this was our favorite. We paid for heated pool and the last night we were there it was in the 50s but my granddaughters played in the pool all evening.

We enjoyed the home. The owner was very accommodating and checked in on us through text message. I only needed to reach out to her once on the day of arrival, she quickly replied. The home is very spacious, the bedrooms are nice size and the kitchen is truly stocked. I would highly recommend this property to families, couples or groups.

Adult Family Vacation

Everything was excellent. All the information for the house was sent several days in advance. Giving me time to make sure we had everything we needed. Monica checked in to make sure everything was ok. She answered any questions and sent all the check-out information again before we left. We paid for the heat and the pool and hot tub was great! Everything was clean and the kitchen well stocked for cooking anything.

Good Family Time.

Perfect Holiday Home & Location for all the attractions.

9th Sept for 7 nights -Two of us flew over for a quick break from the UK weather and to try out Monica’s house for 2026 for us, our two adult sons & girlfriends to stay for a month. On arrival we can only describe our first reaction as ‘WOW’ - what a gorgeous house, so big, clean, well presented. The bedrooms were spaced out – the reception was enormous, the kitchen was superb and having stopped on West haven in other accommodation, this was the best equipped kitchen we have ever used, not only the cooker, air fryer and toaster etc, but utensils, crockery, glasses and plastic for the pool. The electric recliner sofa and huge TV with cable was amazing AND, in every bedroom, TV’s and cable access. Air conditioning perfect and the welcome pack and the presentation of the beds and towels in the bathrooms was a lovely touch. We paid for pool heating and this made the Hot Tub Spa perfect either in the morning or evening and the pool was super clean and perfect. Plenty of loungers and seating and a sun trap for those relaxing hours. This house on West Haven is minutes from Champions Gate perfect for Publix, Millers Ale House, petrol & Maccies,Target & Walmart. Locally we ate at The Longhorns, Buffalo Wild Wings and Millers Ale House & 20-25 min drive to Disney Springs & Universal City Walk. Monica is the perfect hostess, easily reachable, courteous & intent on giving her guests the perfect vacation. A 5-star recommendation from us. Can't wait to return in 2026 - Sharon & Dik (UK) x

She and her family (parents, brother and husband) saved their pennies to buy this beautiful vacation home to escape the subzero Chicago winters. While new to HomeAway, Monica is a former Disney cast member - so hospitality is in her blood. She has also been a landlord for almost 10 years. She loves Harry Potter, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Batman, swimming, roller coasters and good ole fashioned game nights! She hopes you will enjoy staying at the Shire as much as she does.

We loved how spacious, relaxing and convenient this property was. The pool is very private and has a gorgeous view of a wooded conservation area. Complex tennis and volleyball courts are just down the block and the gated community provides a quiet escape with close proximity to the local theme parks - about 20 minutes to Disney.
