Sitting just 4 miles away from Melton Mowbray itself, famous for its pork pies and Stilton Cheese, the atmospheric streets are home to a fantastic number of food and drinks festivals throughout the year. There is also a walking heritage trail that takes you on a journey through time and gives you a portal to the past. For more historical wonders, blended with some beautiful walking, why not visit Burrough Hill Country Park and the Iron Age hillfort, just 3 miles away, that commands views over the surrounding countryside for miles around. Oakham sits just over 13 miles away, with magnificent Georgian architecture and beautiful boutique shops to enjoy and explore.
