A charming gravel walkway leads up to the front door which opens into the warm and stylish cottage for rent in Fredericksburg, TX known as Backstreet Bungalow. This quaint, cozy getaway offers a wonderful farmhouse feel; conveniently located within the neighborhood life of Fredericksburg. Its vibrant cream and brown pastel interiors complement the rich, darker tones of the doors, floors, and antique wooden furniture. The master suite downstairs is luxurious, with an en-suite Hollywood style bathroom providing two separate sink areas, plus it has its own private reading/sitting nook. Guests can relax and read a good book, watch television in the master bedroom or the 55" TV in the living room, or wander outdoors to the private hot tub in the backyard. The back garden which also has a fire-pit, comfortable sitting area and a gas grill to barbecue, is surrounded by beautiful, established trees and shrubs which enhance the privacy and cozy atmosphere the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee with the neighborhood rooster crowing good morning! - Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

Great location near downtown

The location of the property is great. Actual property is a bit more dated and older than the photos allude, but overall the property is a great option for a quiet stay in Fredericksburg.

An Amazing Cozy Casita!

Couldn't have been any happier with the selection of Casita! The perfect day for a girls getaway weekend. Cannot wait to make this apart of our memories for years to come. Would definitely come back and stay here over over and over and over and over and over and over……. Clean. Calm. Soothing. Quiet.

Backyard Bungalow - rustic or needs repair?

Fine line sometimes between the two. This one walks the line pretty delicately. Having said that, it was clean and no muss/no fuss. Had everything we needed. Hot tub was a little dirty but we used it anyway. Was a pleasant, relaxing weekend overall.

Nice place except for the roosters

Cute place with a lot of thought put into the details of making it look rustic. The bungalow was stocked with everything we could need. The location was not walkable to Main street but was a very short drive to most things. Comfortable beds! I would not recommend anyone to stay here however because of the roosters (yes more than one) behind the property. They started crowing at about 5am on Friday and Saturday morning and continued until about 9am. There were at least 3 of them. There is no sitting on the back porch to enjoy a morning coffee unless you enjoy the sound. Its quite loud. Inside the house, you can really hear it upstairs clearly. In the downstairs bedroom, its more muffled.

Birthday trip 2024

The house was lovely. Everything from the hot tub to the fire pit was perfect. There were 3 of us going and then one couldn’t make it. They refused to refund me the difference which always irks me. If I had called when we got there and said we had an extra person staying I know they would not have hesotated to charge me the extra fee. I also thought it was closer to the main drag but it was too far to walk but parking was easy to find so it was not an issue. I would definitely rent again only next time will just say two are coming.

Great Place Except for the Roosters

My mom and I stayed here for a girls trip and loved the house! It was clean and the check-in instructions were easy to follow. The only negative is the neighbors roosters. I was sleeping in the loft and was woken up at 4am because of them. However, when sleeping in the bedroom downstairs their noise is more muted. I would recommend sleeping in the bedroom and not the loft if you are wanting to sleep in past 4am. The house was about a 3 minute drive from downtown but it was not walkable. The backyard was clean and lovely and we sat outside to enjoy the nights! We enjoyed our stay but the rooster was not a fun neighbor.

Great location enjoyed our stay in Fredericksburg

Up on arrival, we notice a oder in the Cabin of something of possible curry not a very welcoming entree into to property, we had to purchase air freshener to try to eliminate the oder. The Toilet paper roll was 1/2 roll of paper with 1/4 of used roll under the cabinet for 4days. The couch really needs updating felt like I setting on the floor, out side windows had cob webs, Limbs from the bushes lying along the Fence line in front and back. Outside the cabin could use a good power washing. I would not rent this cabin again For the price I paid expected a more inviting property.

Run-Down, NOT "Rustic"

Online photos & description were not accurate. Property was run-down, in disrepair, dirty, broken/missing light bulbs, leaking barely-running shower, and bugs. In fact, the only thing that worked well was the A/C. Absolute Charm didn't come to fix the shower when asked, were barely interested in correcting the problem and refused to offer a partial discount when we left early. They tired to blame it on us for not complaining sooner. DO NOT STAY THERE.

Girls 50th Birthday Celebration

This was a perfect place for four high school besties to share turning 50 this year! Lots of charm and soooo cozy! Didn't know that we were surrounded by farm life. The roosters never stopped talking to each other! Next time will bring ear plugs when trying to sleep upstairs.

Backstreet Bungalow

The floors were disgusting and sticky (especially in fro t of the kitchen sink). We had to clean it with paper towels and water since no cleaning supplies are in the bungalow. Also a minus. The description of the property should include that there is no privacy in the upstairs loft. Can see atraigbt through gh from the road at night and inadequate curtain coverage upstairs.

Would not stay here again

The garage conversion is super cute, clean, and convenient to downtown. Unfortunately, my girlfriend's and I were unable to have a quiet night of sleep with the rooster cracking throughout the night that lives next door. On our first night he woke us up at 5:10am and went strong until we left that morning for our wine tour. The second night he started at 2:30am and kept going off until we checked out around 11am.. Honestly, I don't understand how there is not some noise ordinance with so many houses near by that can definitely hear him everyday. We would not recommend any guests to stay at your your property because of this and think you should clearly state that before someone books with you. I have 4 boys at home so when we are wanting to get way for some peace and quiet this is unacceptable.
