Soak in the rays as you lounge on the spacious sundeck surrounding your private pool at The Taj Mahal, a 30A vacation rental in the beautiful Blue Mountain Beach, Florida. It’s located south of 30A in Sandcastle Court, a quiet cul-de-sac with quick access to 30A and just a five-minute walk (0.2 miles) to the beach access. Take pleasure in the convenience of five complimentary bicycles available for you to cruise around with.

The comfortable and homey living room has plenty of seating including chaise chairs and high ceilings. Furthermore, the entire home has soothing neutral paint and the second and third levels have wide plank flooring. Throughout the home, you’ll enjoy beach decor, as well as additional beautiful custom, touches with the bedding, window treatments, furniture, lighting, wall decor, and dishes.

The dining room table has seating for six and is open to the kitchen that has additional island seating. The gorgeous kitchen has an open floor plan and features custom shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, subway tile, and stainless-steel appliances.

There’s a flat-screen TV in every bedroom. The first floor has two sets of XL twin/queen bunk beds with under-bed storage. There’s also a full bath and kitchenette. The second floor has three bedrooms, all with king beds. One of the bedrooms has a private bath and the other two rooms share a full bath. The third floor has the primary suite which has a walk-in shower.

There are three covered porches. Since one porch has a loveseat and the other two have chairs and a coffee table you can enjoy your coffee with the sunrise. Because there’s also a grill plan dinner time around bar-b-que. Finally, be sure to take advantage of the outdoor shower by cleaning off before you come inside from your day at the beach.

Special family time

We had a large group staying at Truman’s Retreat with kids ranging in age from 2 to 15. There was plenty of room to have space to be together and enjoy our Thanksgiving as a family.

Cleanliness and quality of the rental need work. The management staff were nice and accommodating but the house fell below expectations.

family reunion celebration

House was decent and spacious enough to accommodate our gang. Some issues! Main room TV only one working. Leaky bathroom faucets and inside vanity, water backup in two showers, refrigerator freezer was frozen and difficult to open. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that Southern Vacation Rentals does not include pool umbrellas. Requires an extra fee on top of the costly rental amount. This was our first time renting with Southern Vacation Rentals. If we return to Santa Rosa Beach we will definitely go with 360 Blue!

Great family fun

This was a beautiful home to enjoy. My two complaints.... no room with king and day bed- we were counting on this for two year old. Also no iron and we were having pictures made . The master king bed on top floor is in terrible need of a new mattress - we would choose to not stay here because of this. It is a nice house though and great location!

Ok Stay

Overall we had a great time . The house was beautiful and the location was good . Just a few small issues , the outdoor cooking grill was in very bad shape and the house wasn’t very clean when we arrived. We also encountered Roaches inside the house. Due to COVID-19 there was an inconvenience of not being able to check in any earlier thank 4:00. Other than that we had a great time . We probably will not be staying there again.

Beautiful Beach

Beautiful home with lots of space. Close to beach. Unfortunately the beach boardwalk that was advertised is no longer available, but the walk is still very close. Ice cream shop along the way was great! Would have been nice to have a golf cart, beach chairs & more pool toys as many other places offer nearby. Photos and description speak and show of more pool loungers than actually available. Hot water heater was AMAZING!! Even with our size group. Beach was absolutely incredible! Internet service was unplugged upon arrival. Internet and tv signals were extremely poor. Beach was absolutely incredible! Even has a “beach ambassador” to help with any questions or services!!

Los Griswolds Family Vacation 2019

As previous summer house renters, we were a little disappointed with this homes lack of supplies, mostly cleaning supplies. Our only “chore” was to take out the trash but throughout our trip we felt we needed to clean so that we could maintain the original cleanliness of the house. Two dishwasher pods were made available but that’s it, we had to purchase dish soap, dishwasher rinse aid, the dishwasher wouldn’t run without it, garbage bags, countertop wipes, paper towels etc. Since the other rentals had provided this amenity we didn’t think it necessary to bring some of our own so off to the store we went. The home was beautiful, our stay was a great one and our complaint, although small, makes a huge difference. -Los Griswolds

Maintenance issues

Main fridge on the third floor was in need of repair before our arrival and the management company did not notify our party of that before arrival and they also did not tell us it was needing repair even after calling it in the first night. Not until the second day did they admit it was a known problem. We also paid to have the pool heated and that did not work either and come to find out it had issues previous to our arrival as well. The unit itself is not bad, there are a few odd things like bar stools not really being useable because they are too high for the kitchen island or the kitchen table is about a foot to long in terms of comfortably being able to sit at the end spots. There were only 7 of us staying there so we had plenty of hot water for showers and the internet was good. We would have enjoyed the kitchen and living space being on the third floor if we did not need to go up and down three flights of steps every time we needed to cook something. Still frustrated that the guest services team at southern rentals did not give full story of the repairs until they were pressed on what could be done. They refunded some money but would have preferred to have the truth up front and a working fridge...

Great house, great location!

We had a fabulous stay. House was super clean and a great location from the beach, coffee shops, ice cream, etc. The pool was great and the patio was excellent with plenty of lounges and chairs for everyone. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice getaway!

Great place for a short trip

Enjoyed how convenient we were with the beach, grocery and restaurants. Two showers wouldn’t drain, stains on furniture and bedding.

Could have been better...

Wireless had to be reset when we got there. TV in master not working and was taped to the wall with medical tape. TV was hanging crooked on the wall. Main TV had 3 remotes and no instruction on usage. Took a while to figure it all out. Outside faucet handle was broken and difficult to use. Pool pump lost its prime because water level was below skimmer. Had to add water. That shouldn’t be on my vacation schedule. Terrible sewage smell one day, unexplained. It did go away. Landscaping was full of weeds. Needs attention. Sand was covering a portion of driveway. Was impossible to keep sand out of house. I could go on but will stop there.

We enjoyed the property and the location. It was very inviting and comfortable.

The property was comfortable and decorated in a very attractive manner. The location was good too. The appliances were very modern and up to date. The pool and balconies were greatly enjoyed too. Our concerns were minor. The lack of Wifi until a day or so before we left was inconvenient. We also had only 9 bath towels for 14 people; more were brought the day before we left. There were some inconsistencies between the information online and from Southern Vacation Rentals i.e. there was no daybed in a second floor bedroom and there was also a difference in service charges. Housekeeping was good with the exception of under beds and furniture. We found baby bottle, toys for small children, few items of clothing, pool toys from an earlier guests with small children (our youngest was 12). The people I called and the servicemen were all very courteous and helpful. I would rate them as exceptional. It was a very nice place; we really enjoyed our time there.
