Great location in the heart of Montrose. Very clean and orderly house. Large family room for our young son to play in. All amenities are close by.

Not as advertised
As I told the owner, we left after a very short time, maybe an hour. The neighborhood was suspect. The house next door had a driveway and lawn full of parts motorcycles and just general junk. There were other neighbors that were yelling at each other. When going inside we noticed a musty smell, looked for the back yard in the pictures and found we had to go through the garage to get to it. We saw the beds and even the larger of the two was too small for us. Again I don’t think the pictures are representative of the property. There are no views of the mountains even though they were heavily favored in the pictures. I don’t usually give negative reviews so I feel bad about this but after reaching out to the owner with my concerns and that we left, instead of apologizing and maybe offering a partial refund I only received a response basically telling me my eyes were lying to me and not the pictures that were in the advertisement. The pictures are not representative of the property.

Bill & I, both grew up in Denver and moved to Montrose 30 years ago. In our 40+ years together we have built or remodeled a dozen houses either for ourselves or as rentals. Bill has the construction expertise but refers the design & decorating to me. We bought this charming house with the vision that with our combined skills we could turn it into a comfortable place to host guests that want to spend time in beautiful Colorado.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this house in 2015 for a rental and a couple years ago while Bill was remodeling another house to re-sell he got the idea to turn this house into a vacation rental. We started work a year ago and have enjoyed bringing the charm of the 50's back as well as adding some comfortable modern additions. We hope you enjoy the fruit of our labor!

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with the house because of the spacious rooms and big windows to let in the sunshine. This house is unique because it is located in a very quiet neighborhood yet only a ten minute drive to shopping, restaurants, golf, parks, and so much more.
