A PRIVATE LODGE IN THE HEART OF DOOLIN:
Castle View Lodge is a three-bedroom lodge in the centre of Doolin village, sleeping up to six guests.

With a private deck and hot tub overlooking the 500-year-old Doonmacfelim Castle, it is a peaceful place to relax after a day exploring the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren or the Aran Islands.

PLEASE NOTE: Castle View Lodge is not suitable for children aged 12 months to 11 years. One infant under 12 months is welcome.

The lodge is within easy walking distance of Doolin’s famous music pubs and restaurants, and the Cliffs of Moher coastal walk begins just across the road.

THE LODGE
The bright, open-plan living area has large windows overlooking the surrounding countryside and our horse paddock.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, with the kitchen opening directly onto the private deck with hot tub and a view of Doonmacfelim Castle.
The lodge has Wi-Fi throughout, and the kitchen gives you the freedom to dine at home if you wish. With Doolin’s excellent restaurants and pubs just a short walk away, however, you may prefer to leave the cooking to someone else.

BEDROOMS:
The lodge has three comfortable bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom and walk-in rain shower.
Two bedrooms have 5ft beds, while the third has two twin beds, making the lodge ideal for families or groups travelling together.
All bedrooms have 50-inch Samsung Smart TVs, quality linen, towels and robes.

OUTSIDE:
The private deck overlooks the 500-year-old Doonmacfelim Castle and surrounding countryside. The hot tub is exclusively for guests staying at Castle View Lodge.

It is a lovely place for morning coffee, an evening drink or a quiet soak after a day exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.

The lodge has three car parking spaces and access to an EV charge point. Please note that the parking area and EV charge point are shared with a neighbouring lodge.

DOOLIN:
Castle View Lodge is in the centre of Doolin, within easy walking distance of the village’s music pubs and restaurants.
You can park the car and walk almost everywhere.
There are five pubs and restaurants within approximately five minutes' walk of the lodge. Enjoy dinner, listen to traditional Irish music and simply walk home afterwards.

No driving. No taxis. Just Doolin.

The Cliffs of Moher coastal walk begins just across the road. Doolin Pier, the Aran Islands and the Burren are all within easy reach.

PERSONALl CHECK-IN:
We want your arrival to be easy and welcoming.
A personal check-in and guided tour of your lodge is available between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. We will show you around, explain how everything works and make sure you are comfortable before leaving you to enjoy your stay.

If you expect to arrive after 6:00pm, or if your plans are delayed, please let us know in advance and we will arrange key collection.

BREAKFAST AT YOUR LODGE:
Why rush out for breakfast when you can enjoy it in the privacy of your lodge?
We can prepare our Burren Food Trail Breakfast Buffet and deliver it to you each morning. Enjoy breakfast at your own pace without leaving the lodge.

Please ask about availability and options when making your reservation.

LET A LOCAL CHEF COOK FOR YOU:
For a special evening, our Kitchen Takeover experience allows a local chef to prepare a meal specifically for you and your preferences.

It is ideal for a celebration, romantic evening or simply enjoying a memorable meal without going anywhere. Pre-booking is required and experiences are subject to availability.

GROCERIES & ESSENTIALS
We provide complimentary fresh milk, tea and coffee in the lodge.
We also offer a selection of local craft beers, wines and champagnes for purchase. Doolin has a small grocery shop for everyday essentials, while Ennistymon has a larger selection of food and supplies. We are happy to share our local recommendations for cheese, smoked fish, bread, meats and deli items.

THE CLIFFS OF MOHER:
The Cliffs of Moher coastal walking route begins close to the lodge, offering a wonderful way to experience the cliffs away from the crowds.

Follow the coastline with the Atlantic Ocean and dramatic sea cliffs unfolding along the route towards the Cliffs of Moher. We can also help arrange Cliffs of Moher experiences with local guides.

VISIT THE ARAN ISLANDS:
Doolin Harbour provides easy access to the Aran Islands.
Take the ferry across Galway Bay and spend the day exploring island roads, stone walls, ancient sites and traditional Irish culture.

We are happy to share local information and recommendations to help you plan your visit.

Amazing stay!

This stay was amazing from start to end. The host met us at the house when we arrived and went over every detail with us. The house is gorgeous and in immaculate shape and is located right in town next to the shops and restaurants - there are even horses right on property! I would 100% recommend this house!

Absolutely fabulous in every way!

We loved our stay in Doolin at the Sea View house. It was a great location, perfectly clean and spacious, with lots of extra touches (some Easter decorations, milk and juice in the refrigerator, etc.). Everything about staying there was easy and incredibly professional. We were even given recommendations on where to eat ahead of time, and all the places were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Highly recommended!!

About the host

Hosted by Niall Hughes

Host profile image
WELCOME TO THE LODGES @ SEA VIEW HOUSE:

We’re Niall and Darra, your hosts at Sea View House in Doolin.

Darra was born and raised in Doolin and grew up in hospitality, helping at her parents’ farmhouse B&B, Horseshoe House, which they opened in the 1970s.
Niall, originally from Tipperary, discovered Doolin in his twenties and quickly fell in love with the village, its music, people and wild Atlantic setting. A couple of years later, he met Darra.

We married in Doolin and, following an old family tradition, Darra’s father gifted us the land on which we built Sea View House.
What began as an award-winning B&B has grown into a small collection of family-run lodges, where we continue to welcome guests and share our love of Doolin.

Why they chose this property

Doolin choose us. Its where Darra was born. Its the most wonderful village with a great community. Doolin offers something for everyone. From lively music pubs to fine dining. Horseback riding to boat trips on the high sea. Hiking the Burren of exploring the Cliffs. We dont want to leave.

What makes this property unique

Our collection of luxury vacation rentals offer the perfect blend of style, comfort and convenience. Just a minutes walk from Doolin's famous pubs, restaurants and the start of the Doolin Cliff Walk, the lodges are the ideal base for exploring the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and the Aran Islands.
