Good location close to ski hills. Some place cozy to come back to after skiing or tubing. Love the pool set up, too bad slide was down. Had fun sight seeing in Gaylord which is nearby.
This home had all the amenities that I had hoped for. The kitchen was wellsupplied, bathrooms were very well supplied with everything Plenty of towel and tissue. We didn't have to bring anything except our personal item. It was a wonderful experience to reconnect our family. Nice and peaceful and private. We really couldn't want for more.
Normally, it's rare that i give a 5, but this surpass anything i would ask for. If i could double the score to a 10, this lovely cottage and proprietor are the best. I hope to do this experience again.
Thank you.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lakes of the North. The golf course was in great shape. Nice quiet area. About 20 minutes from Gaylord and an hour or so from Mackinaw Island. We used the pool several times. Beds were comfortable. Andreia and Brian were more than accommodating and made our stay very enjoyable. Would stay here again!
House was perfect for the six of us. It was close to everything we wanted to do. Owners were super friendly. Answered all of are questions. The only complaint we had was the location of the washer and dryer. It is a tight squeeze. But other then that it was Fantastic. Would definitely rent again...
The property was nice and remote with ample space for 6 people. (It would start to get tight after 6 or 7 people) A short drive to the local lake and pool-house, and about 40 minutes from Petoskey and Charlevoix. We enjoyed our stay, Thank you!
This was the first time I’ve book an Air B&B for a family vacation. Everything was great. It was clean and was perfect for my family of 6. My only complaint was the host was a little slow replying to me. I sent her a message asking about paying for my dog and I didn’t hear back. I then sent her a text and it was still a while before she replied. I was getting a little nervous. But the day of check in she had good communication and I had no real issues while we were there. If you plan to use the pool make sure you check the hours. We wanted to use it on Thursday and when we got there the pool was closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’d definitely stay again!
My family and I did a last minute getaway and 5his house worked beautifully. Easy check in with Andreia responding to all questions via email in a very reasonable time frame. The home was very clean and had all the necessary items needed for cooking all our meals. We never did anything at the local lakes except check them out which they looked nice enough to spend the day. We did utilize the community pool - it was for a fee but my whole family enjoyed it. Overall, this would be a home that I would recommend to anyone.
Quiet location, convenient to Boyne Mountain and Gaylord. House had plenty of room and beds for our group. Clubhouse with pool is about 3 miles away and only open every other day, we did not end up using it. No dishwasher.
I stayed here with 7 other family members including two 16 year old girls. We had a great time. It was bigger than expected because the kitchen/livingroom is open. We would definitely stay again! The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Having two full baths was also a plus!
It's wasn't bad some things we found confusing. (i.e. the picture of the pool) There isn't a pool at the property but she did include a pass to it, unfortunately it was closed during our visit. Overall not a bad stay.
Nice clean cabin. Owner went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. When staying in the area this will be always my first pick. Had a great time.
We came up to spend NYE with family and we were not disappointed. Everything was very clean. Beds are very comfortable. Nice big dining room table, adequate cooking supplies and enough towels for the 10 of us. Owner was very easy to communicate. We will definitely stay again!
Nothing but great things to say about our stay here. From the communication/ease of check in, until the time we sadly had to leave, we experienced a pleasant "home away from home" vibe. The cleanliness was outstanding and there was a relaxed atmosphere that was very calming. We would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the area.
P.S. - the waterside at the community center is highly recommended....even for aging Gen X'ers.
Property was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Loved the fire pit, outdoor furniture, and comfy beds. The pictures were underestimating the property, nice shade trees and garage not shown online well. Owner was good at communicating quickly. Thanks for a great stay. Needs a tea kettle and better directions for tv/ very minor. Lol

Why they chose this property
Great place to snowmobile and ride side by side in the summer. Love the state land for hunting and hiking. The private lakes in the association are stocked with fish for the grandkids to check out a row boat and have fun. I can swim at the beach or the indoor pool. The kids love the water slide at the pool and the playgrounds. Golf and horseback riding also. Something for everyone!
