About this property

Vintage Maine Log Cabin Near Moosehead Lake Updated For Comfort

Log Cabin on a wooded acre with Queen bed & bunkhouse, Lake access nearby

This cozy camp built from heartwood logs in the 1940's has lots of authentic charm. The hardwood floors and windows are original creating a warm, inviting stay. Lovingly renovated during 2016-2017 with all new plumbing and electric, the custom kitchen provides a full size refrigerator, 2 burner stove top and microwave/convection oven if you really want to make your own meals while on vacation! There is an outhouse available for those looking for a real adventure and for everyone else the baths are brand new with a half bath powder room and a separate shower room with sink and washer/dryer combo. The master bedroom with a queen size bed is adjacent to the baths and the nearby bunkhouse is a fun place for two. Enjoy morning coffee or bug free evenings on the screened in porch. Do some star gazing while enjoying the outdoor campfire pit (BYOFW). A lovely sandy beach for the neighborhood is just across the road - carry your kayak or canoe down! Hiking and ATV trails and the town wharf boat launch are near by.

Linda's family has owned property on Harfords Point since the early 1900's. We enjoy vacationing there with many other family members every summer.

Why they chose this property

When this property became available we saw its potential, and couldn't wait to have our own "fixer upper". It was renovated specifically for summer rentals until we can retire there.

What makes this property unique

The clean air, smell of pine, slower life pace, pristine lake and quietness all lead to a great place to recharge and relax.
