The Garrett House is a Dwell Well vacation rental property located in the heart of Downtown Kerrville, TX. The Garrett house has many amenities like a well-appointed kitchen, POOL, HOT TUB, OUTDOOR SHOWER, FIRE PIT, and Herb Garden. This home is walking distance to many great restaurants, coffee, bars, theater, river trail and more.
Beautiful neighborhood with several historic homes. Several of the homes on the block (including ours) are "Sears" homes, Homes you would pick out of a Sears catalog and have the materials shipped to you for you to build. Ours was built in 1925. The Garrett house is ideal for entertaining and family vacations. This 100 year-old home has been remodeled, but still has some of the original character!
Amenities: The backyard is large with a pool, hot tub, fire pit, screened in porch, and deck/outdoor shower off the master bath. The back yard has a 8 ft. high cedar fence, with a nice barbeque for grilling. We have a family of deer that just might show up to hang out with you on the front lawn. The house has WIFI, Spectrum cable, Sonos sound, and iPhone chargers in each room.
Safety Notes: If you have small children, please take into consideration the pool and hot tub before booking. Safety is a huge concern for all our little ones. All use of the pool and hot tub are at your own risk. We do not have any lifeguards on duty. Also please know that the tile around the pool surround can get VERY slippery when it is wet, please be cautious.

Greg is an attorney here in the area and I have been a stay at home mom, run several nonprofits and most recently work as a general contractor. We love to serve and give to others, believing that each of us is uniquely designed by God.

Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the charm of the house as a child. It was built in 1925 by the first owners then sold to the next family in the early 50's. It was enjoyed and loved by their family (5 generations) for almost 75 years and now we are blessed to call it our own. We have lovingly restored the home doing our best to keep the character and charm and adding in the modern amminities and a bit of whimsy.
What makes this property unique
We are CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN, you can walk to several restaurants, breweries, coffee shop, wine bars. Pour a glass of wine or make a cocktail and walk around town or purchase one from one of the local establishments downtown, street consumption is legal (be responsible of course).
We have an 8 ft fence around the back yard, so it is very private. We have a large Beautiful deck with an awesome OUTDOOR RAIN SHOWER. Large patio for dining and entertaining. Sting lights to light the backyard (on a switch in the houses easy to use). Small screened in porch of the kitchen. Very well appointed kitchen.
