The Log Lodge Vacation Home
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a wonderful time. Great location and home to stay in with a large family. Loved the open kitchen and family room with cathedral ceiling. Boat was ready and waiting for us when we arrived, and we had fun with it every day. Loved playing Pacman downstairs. Only couple of flaws were the internet connection was spotty at best, very very slow and some days couldn't connect at all. The chair seats around the kitchen island are all torn up and should be replaced. Also all the beds but one were very uncomfortable, they really should upgrade them for a premium place like this.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful lake home nestled at the quiet bend of Lost Lake. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, beautiful stone showers and fun basement game room. Reviews had listed that the dining room table was loose and wobbly - such an easy fix for my husband with his tool box in tow! Swimming and tubing were enjoyed towards the West side of the lake.

Only one small issue
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A few things – despite this technically holding 12 people, that would be tight. For Hiller or the owners, FYI that the dining room table is really really rickety (like the legs are about to give—they may simply just need tightening). The only thing we were disappointed in was the non-useable clothes washer. With spending a full week on a lake with a family of 6 with children, having a useable washer in the cabin was certainly a draw. I called up right away (as it is made clear that if you don’t, you will likely be the one dinged financially with the issue), the only response we got was “hmm, not sure if that is our issue or the owners, I’ll call maintenance”. That was it. No call back. Needless to say, loads of dirty and wet swimsuits and towels were tossed into plastic bags (first world problems--yes, but at $1,000 per night? I want a working washer.). Basement has an awesome set up, lots of time was spent playing darts during a few rainy days. Basement is extremely cold, however lots of blankets are available in the dresser but would recommend bringing your own electric blanket--that would do the trick. It is a beautiful cabin on a very pretty (albiet shallow) lake. Being able to rent and have a boat waiting for us at the dock was absolutely awesome and convenient. Be super careful -- if you want to go tubing--totally do-able, just make sure you are in the middle! Recommendation to Hiller – make it clear if you want your guests to separate recyclables. There doesn’t appear to be a separate bin for them, we separated them for the garbage pick-up regardless and fully suspect that they were likely tossed into the garbage truck just the same. Just a note on expectations around that in the cabin would be helpful for future guests.

Beautiful spacious home
Log Lodge was a large, wonderful home for a weeks stay at Lost Lake. The house was very clean. The exterior could use a little tidying up, but inside was wonderful. We loved the pier (and rental boat) and ease of getting on the lake (literally steps from the door). The area around the pier is shallow and weedy so not a great spot for swimming. The fire pit was nice although some of the Adirondack chairs were cracked so could use replacing. Kayaks were fun. Kids loved the arcade machine in the basement. Kitchen was well stocked (could use a pasta strainer). Plenty of room to spread out and relax. We did have a couple of issues and Austin at Hiller was wonderful to work with. Trash bins are located in the shed and we were asked to use them upon checking out for our garbage. We opened the shed to retrieve the bins and there were at least 30 bags of previous renters garbage piled high in the shed. We informed Hiller and they were able to help get the bags out, but we did have to wait 1.5 days for it all to be picked up. All in all not terrible but it didn't look or smell the best out in front of the house. We also had a wash basin back up after a load of laundry and were worried it might overflow. Maintenance was called and they thought the septic would need to be pumped. Another 1.5 days went by and that was finally done, but the issues with the back-up continued. It was a bit stressful trying to limit showers, washing clothes and flushing toilets for fear of an overflow so that kind of put a damper on the trip. Again, Austin was great, very timely with responses and tried his best to get services when we needed them. I hope the issue gets resolved for following renters because the house is great and location can't be beat.

House was great-Support from Mmgt Company not as much
Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1st the good-location was great, house was really nice and had everything we needed for our stay. We did a lot of cooking there and had everything we needed. A lot of games and room to spread out. Really nice to have kayaks on site and we used them a lot. Dock was great for fishing but not swimming and would recommend a flat bottomed boat as it's shallow and very weedy at that end of the lake. Now for the not good, the first morning we were there we popped a circuit in the kitchen. It was not wired to the main box so we called the office when we couldn't find it. Found it was wired to the back up panel and was shared with the grinder pump when the laundry room and hall flooded from the basement bathroom. We found the circuit ourselves. That day 3 different groups of mgmt company staff showed up but no one would clean it up because it contained sewage. No one ever did come to mop the floor the week we were there (we ended up doing it as best we could without a mop). We threw the rugs onto the driveway and a maintenance guy took them the next day when he showed to fix the previous week's reported issues. But he said he couldn't mop the floor either. So we give the house and location an A+ and the management company a D as they sent a lot of people who never actually did anything.
