Great place

This place had everything we needed for a quick day trip to Harpers Ferry. Loved being able to go downstairs for a pizza and some beer after a long hot day!

Perfect spot in Charles Town

For my annual MC excursion with my brothers, this worked out great. We could park our bikes nearby (free on the weekend) and cool off in the brewery or walk to a few restaurants. Manager/host is very responsive.

The place was very clean, charming and conveniently located. Charles Town and Harper's Ferry have a lot to offer. The updated kitchen could use more supplies, (only 2 spoons to name one issue we had). It is advertised as quiet but not really "quiet" at night on the weekend we were there. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to a friend.

Great location - Not a queen sized bed

To start with the positives. Such a cool town and great location. After a long drive with children, being able to drop our stuff off and have a bite and a beer at the brewery below was awesome. For that alone we’d stay again! The place was well stocked, which was a definite plus. There could be improvements on the place. For one, the listing says the bed is a queen. It’s not, it’s a double. My husband is a pretty big guy, so we were cramped. The nightstand had a broken drawer and the dresser was missing handles. As I said before, we’d stay again here and overall enjoyed our short stay.

Upgrade

We had a very good experience staying here. However, I feel the owner should upgrade his pots and pans, get a toaster, as part of staying in a VRBO is the ability to cook. We did, but it could use some upgrades in that area.

Suited our needs just fine.

This was a one night stay for our family of five on our way back from Williamsburg to our home in Pennsylvania. We wanted to spend some time in Harper's Ferry and this was a convenient location and comfortable accommodation.

Wonderful stay in Charles Town, WV

We came for the weekend to attend a wedding in Virginia and a day in D.C. The location is perfect for proximity to fast food, gas stations, drug stores, as well as within an hour of both places we wanted to visit. It was a great stay! One note- the apartment does not have central air so there are units in all the rooms. We were fine but it did get hot at night so be prepared! We loved it! We would stay again.

Exactly as Described

This is very much a case of what you see/read is what you get. We got a third floor apartment exactly as described and were very happy with it.Communication was great, check in was easy, location was great. It is an old building and you could hear some street noise but nothing that would be disturbing if it wasn't car show weekend... We didn't know about that, didn't plan on it but it ended up adding a fun element. We got to watch them set up, we chatted with a couple of car owners then went about our day. By the time we got back around five, everything was cleaned up and quiet again. Thanks for a great weekend!

Great apartment and great location

We loved the rental. It was a cute, clean apartment in a beautiful historic building, right above a great brewery. The kitchen had everything we needed. It's in the middle of downtown, near historic sites and a short drive from Harpers Ferry. In terms of COVID considerations, the apartment had cleaning and disinfecting materials available. The brewery was also practicing good COVID precautions: all the staff was wearing masks, they required masks to go inside and there was a nice patio with tables spaced apart. (One warning is that the brewery is only open on Thurs-Sun, with beer to-go on other days. Other establishments are also closed Monday, Tuesday, etc.)

Your Friend's Condo

If you are looking for a place to stay with amenities that feel like you are staying in someone's apartment as opposed to a hotel, then this would be a good place for you because everything that you need is provided. The portable AC units were a little loud and musty and the condo is more historical than in the photos, but overall it was fine. Someone in a previous review mentioned the steps and we were on the third floor. Not an issue for us at all, but worth mentioning for someone who might not be able to climb steps well.

Quaint little apartment

Great little apartment in close proximity to restaurants and bars. Perfect for a short stay. Would have also been perfect if we would have stayed longer. Management is quick to respond to questions.
