Beautiful Luxury Waterfront Property Directly on Lake Huron Beach

*2023 New Information*

1) Our beach is now HUGE! The water has receded and there's substantial area to play.
And the boulder seawall has settled substantially so access to our beach is incredibly easy.
2) Our kitchen is renovated! We have all new natural stone countertops with a huge sink and multifunctional faucet, updated cabinets, and all new appliances including a gas stove, dishwasher, fridge, and coffeemaker.
3) The master bedroom has a new clothes rack with shelves (the other 2 bedrooms already have closets available).

1) We have updated our cleaning and disinfecting protocols for COVID-19!
2) The gas grill on the deck is brand new as of May 2020! We received a comment last year about the nature of our former grill, so to ensure your happiness, we've replaced it.
3) Lake Huron waters are incredibly high and have affected the shoreline. In June, due to the high water levels and proximity to the house, we had to put in a limestone and boulder sea wall. A few of the pictures of our beach are from the past few years before the sea wall. Please check the captions to ensure you are looking at the updated pictures.

This beautiful Oscoda beachfront home is located on the sugar sand beach of Lake Huron with 60 feet of frontage. The gorgeous Lake Huron beach and beautiful sunrises provide families with a quiet getaway. Relax in the shade under our covered deck or bask in the sun on the beach!

The beach house includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, family room with gas stone fireplace, mudroom with washer and dryer, 2 bathrooms, and 3 bedrooms (#1 master with queen; #2 bedroom with 2 twins; #3 bedroom with full / twin bunk; plus a pull out couch).

Walk out one of three large sliding glass doors onto an expansive beautiful partially covered composite deck. From there you enter the sugar sand beach and then view the beautiful shallow clear waters of Lake Huron. The deck is also equipped with an outdoor shower.

The street side of the home has a large grassy area, so there is plenty of space for yard games and there is a basketball hoop adjacent to the driveway.

The location is 2 miles south of Oscoda, which has its own public park (including playground and beach), restaurants, ice cream parlors, bowling, putt-putt, shopping, and a movie theatre. Approximately 9 miles south is East Tawas with a large arena, multitudes of restaurants, shopping and so much more! The home is also minutes away from canoeing, golfing, shopping, biking trails, berry picking, and numerous sight-seeing attractions (Lumberman's Monument, Eagle's Nest Overlooks, Iargo Springs, Canoer's Memorial, Tawas Point Lighthouse, and others).

Amenities: Fire pit on the beach with chairs, outdoor shower, volleyball, basketball, gas grill and outdoor dining furniture.

Family Room: Wifi TV & wireless internet.

Kitchen: Microwave, refrigerator, stovetop/oven, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, blender, dishes, pots & pans, glasses, silverware, and more.

Washer/Dryer. The bedroom floors, appliances, furniture and expansive composite deck and overhang are all new as of 2015. Everything is fresh, clean and ready to be enjoyed!

Please Note**** We typically rent by the week, Saturday to Saturday. We do have a few exceptions... please view the calendar. If there are blocks of days open that are less than 7 days (example Monday-Friday, 4 nights) we will most likely be able to accommodate the shorter stay if you rent the whole block. Please check the calendar for current availability.

Perfect for us

This was our first trip to eastern Michigan, and so glad we found this place. The perfect size for me and my wife, her mom, and our 6 yr old daughter who was thrilled to sleep on the top level of the bunk beds. The living, dining, and kitchen area are totally open and comfortable, and the lake access couldn’t be better. We used the covered patio for most of our meals. From first contact Beth was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

The best location to rest and relax. Secluded and the best view ever!

The entire process for running this property was easy. The house was wonderful and leaving a gift basket along with a book of activities, restaurants and things to do!

Perfect Family Vacation

We absolutely loved our time at this house. The location was perfect. My kids spent hours running up and down the beach and building sand castles. We made so many amazing memories here including our baby crawling for the first time. Communication with the property owner was outstanding. Beth was quick to answer any questions we had and genuinely cared that we had an amazing experience. We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Fabulous private lakefront home

My family of 8 had a wonderful week at this beautiful home. The water was crystal clear, the sandy area, although smaller than it normally is, was perfect for my daughters to play in, the outdoor covered dining table with incredible views was used nightly and the open floor plan worked well for our family of 8. Beth was very responsive to all my questions in preparation for our trip. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Family vacation

We had a very enjoyable time at this beautiful beach house. Even with the high water level there was lots of beach for the kiddos to play. The water in front is quite shallow for a ways out which was also nice for the littles. Beth left us a nice little welcome gift on the table (Thank you for that :o)) and checked in mid week to make sure we had everything we needed. There was plenty of wood by the front door to make a fire on the beach and just a note to replenish what we used. The beach house is situated between Oscoda and Tawas so we went into both towns during the week. We look forward to returning to this exceptional property.

Beautiful place! Would love to come back!

My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary trip and it was wonderful! The view is amazing along with the deck. The home had all kitchen items we needed to make meals. The communication and responsiveness of Beth was top notch. When going to rent any sort of property the type of communication received is what I hope for every time! Thank you for being so thoughtful and welcoming. A few cons- the floors looked like they could use a good steam mopping/mopping and the master bedroom mattress was uncomfortably firm although we do understand the comfort level of a mattress is different for everyone. With that being said, these few minor cons would not stop my wife and I from coming back again. In fact we would love to come back sometime!

Super View

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this lovely property with our family. The grandchildren loved playing in the sand right next to the deck. A plus for families with young children are the rocks separating the home from the water, it worked well telling the children that they could not go beyond the rocks to the water without an adult. The view is just as pictured in the listing, the expansive deck is fabulous! The property has been updated with hardwoods and tile, a must for a house on the lake. The owner, Beth was very helpful in all respects with quick communication. The only negative was that there is absolutely no way to hang up clothing in the master; no closet, no hooks, nothing. Beth was advised of this inconvenience which is highly unusual for a vacation rental in this price range.

Amazing view!

We really enjoyed our relaxing week at this property. Due to the large glass windows across the back of the property, you could always see the water from the main living areas and the master bedroom. It almost looked as if we were floating! The property was very clean and and clearly updated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed. It had a nice open set-up and a laundry room with washer and dryer. The area was quiet and peaceful. The owner was easy to get in touch with and even left us a welcome basket. We would not hesitate to rent this again! The only cons for us were that the master bed mattress was a little uncomfortable, and you had to replace any proprane that was used in the grill, so we just chose not to use it because this seemed like it would be a pain. The TV was a little small, but this didn't bother us as at all because we hadn't planned on watching any - didn't need to with that amazing view outside! But these were not big things! After I posted some pictures of our trip on Facebook, I had severals friends get in touch with me wanting the information about this rental!

The house was clean and host was amazing to work with! Don’t let the contract scare you, they had bad renters and have to be detailed in the contract due to people who rented and did not take care of the property. The house is serene and beautiful and the views are incredible so if you’re looking for rest and relaxation, this is the house for you. It was everything we needed

Outstanding property!! Kitchen has everything you need. Layout and size of house is perfect. The covered deck and size of deck make this property worth the money!! My only complaint is the cleanliness. That is why I gave it a 4 star. I don’t know if the cleaning crew was having a bad day or forgot but it looked like they did not vacuum. The floors had debris on it. Bedrooms kitchen. Spider webs in the ceiling corners. For the money I spent I did expect a lot more cleanliness after reading reviews before booking this property. Would rent again though.

The view is absolutely amazing. The area is not touristy which was very nice. East Tawas Bay has a lot to offer. Pros. Location, tupperware in the kitchen, sand toys, neighbor was very nice, gas grill is hooked up to a propane line.Cons. Beds are hard. Pillows are flat. Welcome books needs updated (ie didnt need a propane tank). Whirlpool tub didnt work. Lengthy, extensive contract to sign at booking. Bottom line.. youre paying for the view.

Another wonderful week!

It is a lovely 3 bedroom ranch home right on the beach , a few steps to Lake Huron. Beautiful deck covered! We had many of our meals there. Well equipped kitchen ! We were lucky as far as sun! One rainstorm and that was it!

July 2025 Oscoda stay

We recently stayed at this property for a family get a way. The home was beautiful, well-stocked and as listed. We enjoyed many dinners on the outdoor covered deck! The grill offered a convenient gas line so we did not have to mess around with propane filling. There was plenty of beach this year and the views from the windows/doors were amazing. There is lots of natural lighting. If you are not used to this, a simple sleep mask should do the trick! There’s no need for water shoes. The water access is very sandy and shallow for adults to wade in. We contacted the owners once during the stay and they were very responsive. The home is in a great location and close to Oscoda and a quick drive to Tawas. My only suggestions that would help with comfort or convenience would be replacing the master mattress, consider removing the doors to the closet in the bunk bed room so that they can be more easily accessed (the beds are in the way to fully open) and possibly consider a larger dining table. The table in the home is beautiful but only seats 4. While bar stools are available ant both counters, our family played a lot of games in the evenings and there were not enough seats or big enough table. Overall, a GREAT rental and now a favorite. We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

Perfect beach location

This property is just as beautiful in actuality as it is in the listing photos. A beautiful white, sandy private beach front, and everything a family would need inside. Property owner was great with communication and details of the listing were accurate. We have stayed on Lake Huron multiple times and this location is absolutely perfect. Be sure to bring a kite for flying on the beach! Thank you for a memorable stay!

Perfect Family Getaway

We LOVED this house and the beautiful beachfront property. Our kids had the best time - meals and games on the beautiful back deck, swimming and playing in the sand, fun trips to putt putt and downtown Tawas, s’mores at night. I could go on and on. I’d be remiss not to mention the AMAZING neighbors next door who were so kind in offering suggestions on where to go and what to do and my kids adored their kids/grandkids. We really hope to be back next year!

Beautiful Lake Huron

Property is beautiful. Lake Huron is clear as glass. Home was clean, secure and had a new kitchen which was really nice. Living room and common areas were spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately when we arrived there was no wifi, and Verizon service was very spotty, so we had to drive north into town to call the Property manager who responded right away. I had to spend the next afternoon waiting for the internet service provider to arrive then fix the problem. This was a major inconvenience and cut into our vacation time significantly. All 5 beds are uncomfortable. They are clearly old, loud and very firm from overuse. There was a thin mattress pad on the master it made no difference. None of us were able to sleep. We ended our trip 2 days early because of this. A listing that states luxury should have sufficient beds.

2nd time around!😊

Six of our family enjoyed our second stay at this wonderful home right on Lake Huron. The first time in 2022. The deck is wonderful ! We had all our dinners there! The kitchen is well equipped and we prepared all meals . It was hard to leave such a beautiful setting. We enjoyed lots of beach time, kayaking, swimming. Weather was mostly sunny which allowed us to be outside most of the time. The only con was lack of drawer space in the bedrooms! That won’t keep us from booking though. A great enjoyable and restful week! We hope to return next year!

Great family stay!

Beautiful home amd fantastic location. Clean as a whistle! We enjoyed walking on the beach and easy access to town. Kitchen and home are fully stocked. Lake Huron is beautiful and sparkling clear, we had our own polar plunge!! Great stay and we would rent again.

What a wonderful place!

The house was so clean and decorated so beautifully, but then you saw the gorgeous deck and view of Lake Huron. It was so relaxing. We struggled with operation of the TV/remote, but managed to have an absolutely wonderful time. The kitchen was spectacular. Did I mention the beautiful lake? We felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves. Make sure to go out after midnight and look at the stars. AMAZING! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Oscoda 2023

It's a very nicely located property that has been arranged in a well thought out plan to make maximum use of the available room. We had five adults for three nights and three adults for two. We enjoyed both the kitchen and living areas but the best part is the outside area and the access to the water. One thing we found in the master bedroom was a large window over the bed itself that was either letting in the neighbor's outdoor light at night or the sunlight during the day. A way to cover this window and a thicker mattress would have made the stay a definite 5 stars as it is maybe 4.75:) Would definitely stay here again. Thanks much!

Our family of five lives in mid-Michigan, and we thoroughly enjoy living and playing in this great State throughout each of its four seasons. We ski in the winter, and in the hot summer months, relaxing at a beach and playing in the beautiful waters is a must. We had always wanted to rent or stay at a place where you can open the door and walk right onto the beach. It still seems like a dream that we now are owners of such a beautiful place! It is simply our favorite getaway, and we are so happy to share it with others! Also, in the autumn, the nearby attractions are sensational. The colors are in abundance and our favorite place to view them is along the River Road Scenic Byway by the Au Sable River. Simply breathtaking!

We fell in love with this beach house when we first saw it and are absolutely thrilled to be its owners. As soon as you step foot within, the outside is calling your name. The multiple large sliding glass doors beckon you outside onto the expansive composite deck. From there, you walk onto the beautiful sugar sand beach, with the clear and sparkling Lake Huron waters just steps away. The beach house itself was remodeled in 2014-2015, and is fresh, clean, and beautifully decorated. The composite deck is partially covered so you can still enjoy the beautiful outdoors while taking a break from the sun's rays. Listen to the waves, relax, or play in this piece of Pure Michigan paradise! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

The beach house is located directly on Lake Huron and has phenomenal sunrise views. Enjoy the serenity of this gorgeous home and beach from inside, on the expansive partially covered deck, or directly on the sand itself. You can dine outside under the covered deck and clean off the day in our outside shower. While the inside of the home is absolutely beautiful, truly the outside living area is the gem of this property.
